"and the deer and the antelope play"

When we moved into this house 3 years ago my husband refused to put lights outside. He said "I'm not putting nails into this new wood. " They do have other methods of hanging lights but her said no. (and even though I did it years ago at our other house I can't do it anymore) So I asked him if we could put some reindeer up, I always thought that they were cute on peoples lawns. So he was okay with that. We had an area in front where they could sit and not have to be moved to mow the lawn. So this year we have had several weekends of rain and the reindeer's were not being put out. Since it was so close to Christmas, and the area in front is now heavily thick with plants, I told him we may as well forget it or maybe put them in the back yard.
We have a beautiful "Mountain View" by day and an very nice "City Lights" view at night.

So our sweet Reindeer have been put into the backyard and you know what ~ we love having them there. They look so cute and best part is that we can see them. Never got to see them in the front yard because we are never really out there at night. I am sure that they will be welcomed guests into our yard each winter. (not sure where the antelope went!)

That is a beautiful view! I think he should still put up the lights but then you have to take them down. I think that is why my better half balks every year.

The deer are beautiful!
Hope you have a GREAT week!

Those reindeer are so neat! I know I've seen the deer ones, but I'm not sure I've ever seen the reindeer ones. I'll have to start looking closer when I go by the houses with decorations ;-)

Debby that is just beautiful. I could see a cross all lite up there. Talk about people below loving looking up at your house!

I finally got rick to put up my lights only on the fence because he could wrap them around .... LOL no nails here either. For Pete's sake it's a house built in the 70's ... LOL

What a fantastic view! I am so jealous. The only view I am occasionally treated to is the Pole across from me changing his shirt! Nothing compared to your mountain.

Debby, you poor, poor thing having to see those ol' mountains during the day and those irritating city lights at night! *big sigh* LOL.

Oh my goodness, there cannot be a more beautiful view, except from Heaven itself. Your deer are so sweet!
