This is one of our favorite ground covers in the backyard. It blooms in the summer but is at its best all winter long. (I would show snow pictures if I had some) I do love living in Southern California and just so you know I lived in a suburb of Chicago for the first 38 years of my life so I do know snow and cold weather! Where we are now we can be in Las Vegas in 3 1/2 hours, in the mountains in about 45 minutes (with snow for skiing) and at the beach in an hour.
Yet here I sit at my computer each day!

I know what you mean..I live outside of DC and go downtown maybe once a year. This is my year to be ACTIVE (my word of the year) and I need to get off the computer. those are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them
I moved right by Lake Michigan 10 years ago and in all those 10 years, I haven't been to the beach once. I take it for granted completely.

We lived in the OC for 40 years. My daughter and grands are still there. I miss them all the time. I miss the OC now and then... Like when I see those purple flowers. or bouganvilla.
