WOULDA COULDA SHOULDA

Seriously, I am a SAHMWAEN (stay at home mom with an empty nest) so why I can't I get anything done. The day is mine yet with each passing day I look back at yesterday with the woulda coulda shoulda regrets.
I am so in love with reading blogs and commenting that I sit here for hours on end. I am not getting any work done. I still have to pack up my Christmas things and I finally feel well enough to do that. But I'm not doing that! I think about, I finally get my butt up from the computer chair and take a shower so I can begin working on something. Then I am in the shower and these ideas start floating through my head for posts so when I get out I tell myself that I will just sit here for a minute so I don't forget this fabulous idea. Well you know how that goes! I need to find some clip art, I need to check emails and maybe a quick look at my reader..........
I am so afraid of missing some awesome post or being out of the loop that I glue myself here and I then tomorrow morning I will be doing the woulda coulda shoulda dance again. Pour Skye has been begging me to take her outside and I say to her "just let me finish reading this one" and before you know it she is nudging me again because I read the next one, next one and next one. (okay I left for awhile to take Skye outside, bet you didn't even know I was gone) Had some chocolate, thought maybe that would get me moving.
So why am I telling you this? I think I need to take a break for a few days. Usually if I miss just one day my reader will say I have 350 posts to read. Obviously I don't read all of those and that is when I have to stick to my A-List. Of course now I am thinking that I need to make a new folder of Must Read because my A-List is pretty large. I know that some of you won't even know that I am gone. When am I doing this? Excellent question which I don't have an answer for. But let's face it, I MUST GET MY CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS DOWN VERY SOON! I love them with all of my heart but enough is enough! (I might even go to Vegas this week for a day trip!)

I am going to leave you with a picture I just came across (while looking for some pictures of my son to post on his birthday) of a REAL Christmas tree that we had in our family room in Western Springs, IL back in 1981 the year our daughter was born. Those are the ornaments I had collected since we got married in 1972. (It doesn't look well balance, almost messy. What's up with that!)

P.S. So I was typing this on Friday afternoon. I took some pictures today of the things that arrived from my purchase at Tender Heart Treasures, got some gifts/cards ready for a party on Sunday, did a load of towels, showered, blogged, worked on several posts that came to me in the shower of course, read emails, responded/commented and now I look at the clock ~ it's 5:00 ~ when did that happen.

GOTTA GO, IT'S TIME FOR A GLASS OF WINE, MOVIE & PIZZA!

I totally understand! I took all summer off last year, so I could keep up with everything going on here. Enjoy your time away from the computer :-)

Sometimes I feel the same way! But then every once in awhile I've got to buckle down, take a week or two off and concentrate on the things going on in my life & not so much everyone else's. Enjoy your break! You need some you time!

You made me smile. I can relate too. I go through phases.
I make sure my housework is done before I get on the 'puter.
Love your Christmas tree pic....I wish it were still Christmastime!

It's so easy to get lost in the blog. Work keeps me from being able to do that, but I tell you, there are days when I have to shut down my browser!

If you take a break, I'll miss you but I'll understand.

I love real trees!

We all need to take a break from the blogging/commenting sometimes. But of course, it just draws us right back in after a very short time.

I'm guilty of the woulda coulda shoulda thing too. Right now there are so many things I should be doing, and yet, here I sit. :)

Hope you enjoyed that glass of wine
The reason I only post a few times a week is because sometimes I am so busy and cant think of anything to blog about
I just want to sa that it is ok if you dont read every blog
why dont you pick a few every few days
I would notice and I would miss you but as long as i see your comment every now and then and see a new posting you have made I will know you are ok
remember
ITS OK!

*phew* Sounds like you do need a break! And now you've reminded me that I need to take down my Christmas tree. I've been far too busy procrastinating about it.

I can understand, although our house is not an empty nest. My boys live at home and both attend our local college. Both boys plan on transferring to other colleges far away. It will be quiet around here. I usually am busy though most of the year, so in January I like to take a long breather to work on those things that I normally don't have a chance to do. What do I do? Nothing

I think it looks gorgeous! And so big!

Have fun on your date!

Take it easy it's hard keeping up with all of those blogs.

Right there with you, girlfriend. I feel guilty if I do and guilty if I don't!

I think it's been a week since I've been able to drop by your place - it happens ya know. I get so behind with my home stuff, that the only thing I can do is get my own blog posts written ad posted.

Sometimes when I need an internet break, I turn off my computer and put a post-it pad on top of it. If I need to look something up or think of a good blog post I write it on the post-it.

Everyone needs a break now and then. Oh, and I think the "Messy" Christmas tree looks like a REAL Christmas tree. Family oriented Christmas trees rock my world. We have a lived in home......

I went through the same thing. Now I don't even look at my reader because I literally have thousands of messages. I think it's good to take a "media" break occasionally. Enjoy it :)
