MY NAME IS DEBBY AND I'M A PROCRASTINATOR

Some of you know just how much I want to organize my home but haven't found a way out of my laziness slump that I have been in. Blah, blah, blah, right? I'm actually working very hard at pushing myself into a routine to "get er done!" So guess where I started? Right here on my blog. It was just looking to busy so I went back to only one sidebar and moved things into the above categories. I am not done so when you visit there will most likely be changes.

You know how people pick a word when the new year comes. Well two years ago I picked the word "Simplify" and I'm no further along than I was then. Funny thing is I can remember talking to friend from church years ago and we were both going to simplify our lives. That was at least 10 years ago! So now you know I am the biggest procrastinator out there, although I did get rid of an enormous amount of things when we moved six years ago however I am pretty good at shopping and filling every space I can. Enough...........I say enough already!

I wanted to share a few things with you and it's all that I have right now. When Mark went to Europe he brought back some really cute items for me which I haven't taken pictures of. A sweet set of thimbles (no I don't sew) with pictures of the famous sites on them and a cute phone booth key chain. Also Phil's mom (the man who works with Mark but is originally from England) also sent me a lovely gift. They visited Cotswold where the Lavender fields grow and she sent me a lovely tea towel along with potpourri.

So I had come across a chicken recipe on Pinterest that I thought I would make for dinner but as it turned out I didn't have sour cream in the house at the time. So I did a little more research on Pinterest and found another one. There is no link so here it is on my Pinterest page and it should be the first one. Let me tell you in my opinion this chicken was delicious and Mark loved it too. We will be making this one again.

Melt in Your Mouth Chicken Breast
1/2 c Parmesan cheese,
1 c Greek yogurt,
1 tsp garlic powder,
1 1/2 tsp seasoning salt,
1/2 tsp pepper,
spread mixture over chicken breasts,
bake at 375 for 45 min
Enjoy!

Update: Now a month later from my last
post  this is how my poinsettia is doing
after it's death...you can read it here.

You probably couldn't be a bigger procrastinator tha I am! I have thoughts of organizing, but it ends there! I'm feeling pretty good these days if we have clean clothes and the kitchen gets mopped every now and then!

Debby,

I'm so pleased that you came by to visit at LAWN TEA! It's good to hear from new folks dropping in, and I certainly hope you'll return.

And a KINDRED SPIRIT!! I've Pro-Crasted for so long that I do believe that somewhere on this pile of Meant-to-Have-A-Lawn-Tea in August dishes and cloths and silver, there's probably an Easter item or two, still lingering since Spring.

I tell folks that if they could see my house, they wouldn't eat my cookin'!

And I do believe that's why I love to visit around to blogs---the lovely homekeeping and shining surfaces and spare white rooms, or the romantically-rose-filled PINK spaces which delight my frilly-girl heart, or the wonderful art and flowers and occasions, all in neat, tidy rooms.

I've enjoyed seeing your blog, and what's not to love---a fellow putter-offer, gifts and treats and a wonderful recipe, plus a marvelous resurrection. I count that most gratifying and inspiring.

Hope you'll drop in again!

Well, I guess that means I'm in good company because I'm just as bad as you about getting it done! LOL Love your little trinkets from Europe! Very sweet!

Oh, that's funny - I was just writing about organizing this morning, after a weekend project. There's a book in the post you might (or might not?) find interesting.

Like the new blog-look!

Procrastinator, that would be me. I can't seem to get with it, to do anything I want done, madding isn't it.

I'm routing for the poinsettia! It's doing great!
I've heard of the chicken recipe before, but never tried it. I've used mayo instead of greek yogurt. I'm sure it has the similar results of keeping the chicken moist.
With some things I procrastinate, other things I am gung-ho about doing.
Your gifts are very pretty!

I'll have to try that one.

I've made that chicken before, and it's fabulous. I use the Greek yogurt version (lower in fat - DH has high cholesterol so I try to cook low-fat).

I like your new blog look.

So funny! I like your new look, too! Yes, I also am a procra...I just can't say it. I'm so far behind studying that if I say it, I may never catch up! Last week, I cleaned out file cabinets, needing to create more seating at my bar area where I slid file cabinets underneath. Completely rid of one cabinet; moved the second to another home, bought two bar stools, and voila! Two new sitting spaces. Good thing, too. I fed 12 people at Sunday lunch.
Have a great, productive week, Debby! I'm sending strong vibes your way...

I am absolutely the opposite! Now, now, do it now, can't wait, fifty projects going at once....ugh....I must try and put things off. xo
P.S. the blog looks great. I'm planning some changes on mine soon. I do change the header every month but a new look is coming to Katherines corner soon. xo
