On August 18th I went to see two movies at two different theaters that are about 2 miles apart from each other.
The first movie I saw was The Gift. This movie was a mystery thriller and I really liked it. Keeps you on the edge of you seat! I am a huge fan of Jason Bateman so I wasn't going to pass this one up.
"A young married couple's lives are thrown into a harrowing tailspin when an acquaintance from the husband's past brings mysterious gifts and a horrifying secret to light after more than 20 years."
The second movie I saw was Fantastic Four. The reason I saw this movie is because I like the young actors who are in it. It was a fun movie. Because of them I found it to be very entertaining.
"Four young outsiders teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe which alters their physical form in shocking ways. The four must learn to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy."
Mark and I went to see American Ultra. I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say that we both really enjoyed it. Yes it is ultra violent but Jessie Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart were great together!
"A stoner - who is in fact a government agent - is marked as a liability and targeted for extermination. But he's too well-trained and too high for them to handle."
I went to see She's Funny That Way. I didn't know anything about the movie but I liked several of the actor's in the movie. This movie was very entertaining. Reminded me of a crazy Woody Allen movie. The movie was very predictable so there were no surprises.......
"On the set of a playwright's new project, a love triangle forms between his wife, her ex-lover, and the call girl-turned-actress cast in the production."
Well like the last movie I didn't know a thing about this movie, The Diary of a Teenage Girl. I like Kristen Wiig and thought I would give it a try. Well I should have read up on it. (live and learn)
It was all about her sexual encounters and drugs. Surely not something I am fond of but I did like the young girl in this movie. The acting was very good.
"A teen artist living in 1970s San Francisco enters into an affair with her mother's boyfriend."
Hope Everyone Has a Nice Weekend
