WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

Volume 271
Thank you Joyce.

1. It's officially summer (in the northern hemisphere anyway). Which summer month is best and why?

Well I'm going with June because I usually visit my dad and family in Florida to celebrate my Dads birthday on June 24th. I think all the months are fine......

2. Can you swim? How did you learn? June 27th is National Sunglasses Day. How many pair do you own?

Yes I can swim. Don't remember how I learned how to swim. I do not own any sunglasses, never ever got use to wearing them.

3. What characteristic do you judge most harshly in yourself? How about in others?

Obviously my weight for myself.  For other's I would say being sarcastic at the wrong time often irritates me.

4. Robert Frost wrote the now well known poem entitled The Road Not Taken. What's a road (literal or figurative) you've always wanted to travel, and where do you hope it takes you?

I really don't know. I have a strong desire to live in London, I would hope it would take me on a journey of happiness.

5. Popsicles-yay or nay? If you answered yay, what's your favorite flavor?

I always enjoyed a popsicle but I haven't had one in years. I use to like Root Beer flavor.

6. Brexit-on a scale of 1-10 how knowledgeable are you on what's involved here? (1=very knowledgeable and 10=what's Brexit) Is this news you'll follow or is it something you think won't impact your life in any way shape or form?

Maybe I'm a 4. Mark was trying to explain it to me over the weekend. I never watch the news so I won't be following it. I've only been flooded with CNN being on because my father watches it!

7. Share a favorite song on your summer play list.

I don't listen to music all that often, I forget to do that. I did hear a song the other day at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa and since I have it on my phone I've been listening to it. "Eye in the Sky" by Alan Parsons Project.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Heading home tomorrow. It has been an amazing trip in Florida. Great times!! Can't wait to share all that we did along with our time at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota.

i love grape Popsicle best, but Jake gets those and i eat the mango and coconut. i buy bags of the liquid ones for Jake. each night after his final ball game he gets 3 bites of one, one last 3 days... the bag comes with 3 of the mango or coconut... those are mine. i eat one bit each night. it all started when he would get so hot i would give him a bite to cool down, he got hooked and now i pay. can't wait to see what you saw at the circus museum.

My hubby had to explain Brexit to me too. I don't listen to the news much either.

I will have to ask my hubs about Brexit have never heard of it.
Girl you need to wear sunglasses to protect your eyeballs - they can get cancer too. Sorry.
I hate my weight too.
I love the thought of Tuscany and Greece to live in!
Have a good time with your day.
Love, sandie

Can't wait to hear more about your Florida adventures. The museum sounds fun. I would never have guessed that you'd like to live in London. You are full of adventure :) I visited once and it was fun but as I get older I like cities less and less.

Glad you had a great trip! Not sure I've had a root beer Popsicle.

So glad you've had a wonderful visit with your dad! My weight is one of my things too. I don't think I'm ever going to get it under control. It was on my mind while we were in Nashville this past weekend. I just can't seem to stop doing what I shouldn't do. You can't go wrong with the Alan Parsons Project. :)

I'm just amazed how fast the time went for you down in Florida! Sounded like a great visit and can't wait to hear more about it. Popsicles are a great summer treat :)

I didn't know anything about Brexit or much about the European Union; did some reading about it, understand it a bit better now, but I'm like you, I don't watch news unless hubby is watching it.

Safe travels!

Sounds like you had a great trip! I am not a Popsicle fan nor a Root Beer fan so I will let you eat them all! I also love Alan Parsons Project. You chose a great song to download and listen to when you remember. LOL!

I have a strong desire to live in London too, but maybe for six months or so. The nicest six months. I hope you have a safe trip home. Sounds like you've had a busy month. And I agree with you on sarcasm. It's not always just clever. It's often malicious, which I don't like.

Already? ... Bittersweet, huh?

Debby, you're the only soul I've ever heard of (besides myself) who doesn't own/wear sunglasses. Oh, I've owned and "lost" more pair than I care to admit, but can't stand the feel of them around my face.

Safe travels!

I can't stand to be without my sunglasses. I don't know how you do it in all that California sunshine! I loved rootbeer popsicles as a kid, but don't see them anymore. I'm so glad you've had a wonderful visit with your dad. Safe travels home!

The Barnum & Baily Museum sound fascinating. Your visit to Florida seemed enjoyable. We all need that from time to time. My swimming instruction wasn't as threatening as it may appear. There were a number of excellent swimmers close by should anything go amiss. Although at the time I didn't know it, I was perfectly safe. I have always enjoyed the water and still do. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
