We celebrated Mother's Day last weekend. As you know I received tickets from Mark to go and see Billy Elliot the Musical. Even though Mark was going to go with me he gave his ticket to our daughter Amber since she loves the story as much as I do. (he really didn't care to go) Well let me say that it was fabulous! We enjoyed each moment. We were seated just off to the left a little bit and seven rows from the stage. The boy who preformed the lead role was Kylend Hetherington and he was excellent. After the musical Amber and I went across the street and had a bite to eat at Delphine Eatery & Bar at the W Hotel. It was a perfect day. (enlarge photos for viewing)

On Sunday we all headed out to meet up with Adam & Tristen for dinner. Sometimes it's easier to meet somewhere between Riverside and Los Angeles so we picked Pasadena. It is such a lovely town to walk around in with stores like Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware besides many specialty shops. We had a great time at Paper Source! (Queen Mug Below)
We had dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Besides the lovely menu that they have they also have a wonderful low carb cheesecake that was calling my name and I really wanted a special treat! I had an amazing salad with beets and asparagus along with salmon and green beans. Of course some other slices of cheesecake were also enjoyed by the kids. I think they got "Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple" and "Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake." They looked delicious. (unfortunately there was an accident on the way home and it took us several hours to get home)
Adam and Tristen had brought me a large bouquet of flowers which was wonderful. Amber had forgotten something important at home so we didn't do gifts. I was going to wait until today to open my gifts buy Amber insisted that I do it that night when we got home and truthfully I was excited to open them. She didn't have to twist my arm! Each couple got me a $50. Gift Card for Hallmark. My ornaments come out in July so this will help take the load off my bill. I also got the cutest little jar container that seals. It says "I often daydream that my life is just as it is now...Only I have well behaved hair and live in Paris" and has the Eiffel Tower on it. I got the Hallmark pads of paper w/pen and a really cute card that has a removable button/ribbon on it that says "Bow to the Queen."
Praying that your day is beautiful.
{{Hugs}} to everyone who is hurting today.
