PRAYERS NEEDED

PRAYERS NEEDED: My dad had a major setback today. He was in the kitchen and fell hard on the floor on his same hip. His hip appears to be okay in the x-ray.

I saw it all in slow motion, I was right there but couldn't catch him. Fell hard on his head and blood pooled around his face. I called 911 immediately.

They believe he had a heart attack. He is alert and knows everything and can answer each question they have asked him. That is a good thing. He is heading over to a Tampa hospital where they need to monitor his brain because the CT Scan shows some mild bleeding inside.

My heart aches for him. He had to have 7 stitches. He is very upset with himself because he was doing so good with all of him physical therapy. He did nothing wrong and I am glad I was here to get him the ambulance.

Medical Alert was set up for tomorrow to be installed but in all honesty after he fell today I could see that there is no way he could have pushed a button. God has me here for a reason and I am thankful for that.

  2. You both are in my thoughts and prayers - this was a God Wink - that you were there. Instead of a button - can he wear a necklace or pin? I will go to bed with prayers and I am so sorry. Love, sandie

  3. Oh your poor dad. I am so sorry to hear but glad it wasn't worse. Keeping him in prayer and you too. I am sure your adrenaline got a huge rush and you are exhausted now. Hope you are able to get some rest.

  7. Oh Debby, I am so sorry to hear this! Praying for him to make a quick recovery. Glad nothing got hurt with his hip! You definitely were meant to be there; God had you exactly where you needed to be. Sadly, it is probably a wake up call for your dad that he might not be able to independently live alone again :(
