WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE #620

Thank you Joyce.

1.  Are you more life of the party or more party pooper? If your answer is somewhere in the middle which side of the middle do you lean towards more?

Birthday party, beach party, cocktail party, dinner party, charity fundraiser, surprise party, costume party, garden party, Christmas party, reunion...what's your favorite kind of party?

I don't think I'm a party popper, but I don't think I am the life of the party either.

We don't go to any parties except for James' Birthday Party which is coming up in October. We really don't have any friends that we hang with. Adam, Gabby and James are the only ones we see.

We do go out to dinner for all of our birthdays and when we can we go out with Amber and Dylan too.

2. Cheese, wine, and balsamic vinegar all improve with age. What would you personally add to the list?

Well I do eat cheese and drink wine. I'm thinking exercise is very important too.

3. How do you feel about your birthday? How do you want to be celebrated? Or don't you?

I don't mind my birthday. I can't change it!

We will be going out with Adam, Gabby and James to celebrate my birthday which is October 3rd. We will celebrate in about 2 weeks.

We will actually be in Montana on October 3rd and I can't wait to celebrate with Amber and Dylan. Dylan will have several days off from work when we go.

4. What remarkable feat, interesting piece of trivia, or historical event occurred on your birth day and month? Not necessarily your same birth year, just the same date/month.

I found historical events on October 3rd. There was a list of them 10 of them.

In 1789 President George Washington proclaimed the first Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

In 1863 President Abraham Lincoln issued a proclamation designating the last Thursday of November as a national day of Thanksgiving.

In 1995 O. J. Simpson was acquitted of murder in the famous court case. (sad)

5. Share two good things about your life right now.

FAMILY......

1. Amber and Dylan

2. Adam, Gabby and James.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

We went to Adam and Gabby's on Saturday. Gabby's mom Isa was there two. We played some Bunko with James and Isa. Then we ordered a wonderful dinner from P. F. Chang's.

I have to apologize. When I went online to do Wednesday Hodgepodge somehow I hit something and all the posts I needed to read were gone. So sorry I missed your post.

    1. Thank you Joyce. I hope you get this. Yes, looking forward to seeing Amber and Dylan and celebrating my birthday with them. I appreciate your prayers. I'm just going crazy her. I think I'm getting like 5 different referrals for doctors to see.

  7. I don't think I'm a party popper, but I don't think I am the life of the party either - same for me. I like cheese and wine too. When are you going to leave to see the kids? Well, I can tell by your two favorite things - you just LOVE your family - me too!

  8. The only 'parties' we enjoy anymore are casual get-togethers with close friends and family ... you know, the kind we can be ourselves. No artificial stress chatter.
What a delight it is to watch James grow here on your blog!

  11. Hi Debby, I enjoyed your historical events. Your grandson looks so cute with his shirt. I hope you are doing well with the humidity we are not use to. I sure hope we get some good rain, because we sure need it! Enjoy the rest of your week!
