My hubby wants to retire, one day, and I was on Vraylar which was going to cost us 1,000 monthly. In my opinion that's what these blogs are for.

The middle of last week I started to feel poorly: extreme lethargy, headache, sore throat. Then this past Sunday I started in with the swollen glands in my neck. Well, you know what? I absolutely refused to test for COVID. I know I probably had it but... I wasn't going to test for it & know for certain I had it. Sticking my head in the ground? Yes, probably. But I knew I was heading to oldest daughter's house to pet-sit while they went to Disney World and I wasn't about to cancel on them. I advised oldest a couple weeks ago to stop testing too...because no one with a planned Disney vacation is going to cancel it for a sore throat....no matter the reason for the sore throat. You know what I mean? The CDC has cancelled their quarantine recommendation, for exposure to someone else with COVID, so things are starting to relax about it all.

Could it be that some other medication you're on is causing your depression, Debby? As you can see by the comments, many of us have suffered with similar issues of anxiety and/or depression. These past couple of years in particular have been very difficult for many people. We are all here together to encourage one another and also to pray for each other. We are blessed to have such a place to share our thoughts and feelings and know that others out here will be lifting us up in prayer and sharing good thoughts. I do hope you will be able to find a good therapist soon. And also yes, sometimes a change in our daily habits/routines is really good for us. We have found that having our kids' new store here in town has been such a boost for us. We were getting so set in our ways and not really doing much but the same old thing every day, and having something different to do is like a new lease on life. I know it's different for everyone, but sometimes just a small change in routine can be helpful. I will be thinking of you and praying. (((hugs)))Pamela M. I suffered from anxiety for years and years, and actually started taking a small low dose prescription to help me. That teeth grinding thing though, I am glad you got that figured out! I understand depression and anxiety, as I live with them myself. I am so sorry the psychiatrist feels she has no other med options for you. I really hope you can get in to see a therapist real soon. I finally got put on the wait list for one too, which may take several months, but then again I already do see a psych nurse practitioner and take meds.

I am sorry Mark's colonoscopy had to be rescheduled. I hope when you talk to your primary doctor he has another suggestion for you for help with a different med (if available and safe to take) to help with your anxiety/depression since it seemed like the Prozac was helping in that regard. Or another psychiatrist to go to. Here's hoping the testing continues to be negative for Mark so you guys can go and see James this weekend! I know that will be a big boost to you to be able to spend time with him. I too don't like that the schools start so early. I know on the East Coast they still start after Labor Day. I liked that better than going the first part of August. Some schools here even start at the end of July!

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9070542752256828676.post-33979553575067273792022-08-17T05:04:56.235-07:002022-08-17T05:04:56.235-07:00I loved school until the 9th grade and from then o...I loved school until the 9th grade and from then on dreaded and had bad dreams before and after school started the day after labor day.
It is good to share these side effects with us because someone else might have the same thing and need to be aware of it. this thing you described is what I call my Fretter! it can fret on any and all things, little or big, important or not, the fretter has me running on it like a hamster on a wheel. I shut mine down by reading, and I think you shut yours down with movies. excercise helps me a lot. you don't have to walk or get out of the house. go on youtube and check out chair excercises, and dance to music, pump your arms, stomp your feet to music. I do all of these almost every day. the more you get your blood racing the better your mind will be. I'm glad you are seeking help, but taking meds can be tricky - as you found out. Perhaps the life-still changes your friend mentioned above would be helpful, but if you can't leave the house, that would be frustrating as well. Know I'm thinking about you and hoping both you and Mark get on the road to full recovery real soon.Elizabeth "Libby" Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17145264016754286426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9070542752256828676.post-79757250464282928342022-08-17T04:38:27.034-07:002022-08-17T04:38:27.034-07:00I hope you can find a way to lift your anxiety.

I wonder if...Sorry you are suffering from anxiety. I wonder if something natural would help? I'm thinking of Gingko Biloba. I took it many years ago and I found it really helped my focus and concentration and I've read it can help reduce anxiety, treat depression and reduce symptoms of psychiatric disorders (not quite sure what this last benefit is referencing specifically). I've also read that making adjustments to your daily habits like exercise, sleep & diet can help. Exercise can change brain chemistry and help boost mood and it doesn't have to be high impact exercise. Anyway, if you're interest check out some information on medicine or alternative medicine sites. As always with anything, some people suffer adverse reactions but you may be one of the lucky ones. I hope you can find something that will work well for you. All the very best.Joyfulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09956413632864588646noreply@blogger.com
