WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE#616

Thank you Joyce.

1. What's worth standing in line for?

I really can't think of anything but I will say going to a special restaurant, a concert or a play.

2. Tell us about a favorite food related memory.

I'm thinking I have two and they both have to do with pizza. One is Home Run Inn that's in Chicago and now we can buy them frozen in the grocery store.

Next would be the first time I had Lou Malnati's in Chicago. It's a deep dish pizza and we can now have them shipped from Chicago.

You open up our freezer and you will always see a good amount of pizza in there.

3. What are some things you find particularly peaceful or calming?

I think going to a beach can be very peaceful and calming. Sitting outside in the backyard can be calming also.

I find going over to Adam and Gabby's being extremely peaceful and calming. If I'm not feeling well I don't even know it. I find a great sense of peace when I am there.

4. Is there something you do now that gets you just as excited as it did when you were a child?

I'm going to say going on vacation. (except for packing)

5. To what degree are you in touch with friends from grade school? high school? college if you attended college?

I have a few friends from High School that I stay in touch with on Facebook.

My High School has a web sight where I can check on people. I also get emails of class reunions and other things.

I also have a Grade School friend that I text with. She was actually my neighbor growing up.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

First day of 1st grade for James.. He likes his teacher and has some friends in his class.

James is now riding his bike without the training wheels. Adam and Gabby said within a minute he had it!

I am really struggling to read blog posts now so feel free not to read my posts. I ship a day and I have over hundred plus blogs to read. I just can't keep up.

  1. I'm glad James is enjoying the start of school. It's nice to feel a sense of peace at your son's house. I wouldn't worry about commenting on every blog. Maybe just read a handful each day and let the rest go. You'll get to some and miss others, but nobody will mind. Give yourself grace in this hard season.

  3. James is still adorable! hope you feel a little better. I would stand in line for food if I were hungry but not for a restaurant.
the beach was my peace seeker when I first moved here. now just an empty house with no TV talking is peaceful

  4. Pizza really is the best!!! A lot of my good memories involve pizza lol, we usually go for pizza when our lives are crazy or we have something to celebrate going on so pizza is a comfort food for sure. I understand having a lot of blogs to read, I just choose different ones each week and try not to get overwhelmed to read all of them. I hope you have a great week, glad I stopped by today!

  13. I think I would find the beach calming - if it were cool and I could lay in a cabana or something! I am glad you find the kids house calming. Glad you have past friends as well. I wish James a happy first day of school. Gosh Deb, he is adorable. Don't worry about reading blogs either.

  17. Hi Debby, the pizza all sounds so good! James must be so proud of himself to be riding the bike all by himself. I was out your way today at the Mediteranea place by Ralphs. I thought of you while over there. I will keep you in prayer.
