2. Tell us about a favorite food related memory.
I'm thinking I have two and they both have to do with pizza. One is Home Run Inn that's in Chicago and now we can buy them frozen in the grocery store.
Next would be the first time I had Lou Malnati's in Chicago. It's a deep dish pizza and we can now have them shipped from Chicago.
You open up our freezer and you will always see a good amount of pizza in there.
3. What are some things you find particularly peaceful or calming?
I think going to a beach can be very peaceful and calming. Sitting outside in the backyard can be calming also.
I find going over to Adam and Gabby's being extremely peaceful and calming. If I'm not feeling well I don't even know it. I find a great sense of peace when I am there.
4. Is there something you do now that gets you just as excited as it did when you were a child?
I'm going to say going on vacation. (except for packing)
5. To what degree are you in touch with friends from grade school? high school? college if you attended college?
I have a few friends from High School that I stay in touch with on Facebook.
My High School has a web sight where I can check on people. I also get emails of class reunions and other things.
I also have a Grade School friend that I text with. She was actually my neighbor growing up.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
First day of 1st grade for James.. He likes his teacher and has some friends in his class.
I'm glad James is enjoying the start of school. It's nice to feel a sense of peace at your son's house. I wouldn't worry about commenting on every blog. Maybe just read a handful each day and let the rest go. You'll get to some and miss others, but nobody will mind. Give yourself grace in this hard season.
ReplyDeleteReading your blog posts has nothing to do whether you read mine or not, my friend. I just love keeping up with you & knowing how you're feeling....and OF COURSE the absolutely wonderful pictures of James! Such a cutie pie! Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteJames is still adorable! hope you feel a little better. I would stand in line for food if I were hungry but not for a restaurant.
ReplyDeletethe beach was my peace seeker when I first moved here. now just an empty house with no TV talking is peaceful
Pizza really is the best!!! A lot of my good memories involve pizza lol, we usually go for pizza when our lives are crazy or we have something to celebrate going on so pizza is a comfort food for sure. I understand having a lot of blogs to read, I just choose different ones each week and try not to get overwhelmed to read all of them. I hope you have a great week, glad I stopped by today!
ReplyDeleteHi Debby, oh do not worry about reading everyone's post. I cannot read them all. We all understand. I won't loose touch with you.

ReplyDeleteI think I would find the beach calming - if it were cool and I could lay in a cabana or something! I am glad you find the kids house calming. Glad you have past friends as well. I wish James a happy first day of school. Gosh Deb, he is adorable. Don't worry about reading blogs either.

One can never go wrong with plenty of pizza in the freezer. I do hope James has a great 1st grade year, and I'm sure that sweet boy will have plenty of friends before long. He is so stinking cute!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about keeping up with other's blog posts, Debby. Everything has its season. Enjoyed your post today :)
ReplyDeleteHi Debby, the pizza all sounds so good! James must be so proud of himself to be riding the bike all by himself. I was out your way today at the Mediteranea place by Ralphs. I thought of you while over there. I will keep you in prayer.
