2. Where in your life are you a lion? Where are you a lamb?
I might be a lion with all of these medical issues going on.
I guess you could say that I am a lamb around James.
3. The Hodgepodge lands on National Pound Cake day. Do you like pound cake? If so do you have a favorite flavor? Let's play this or that-
- pound cake or layer cake? - Pound cake
- pound cake or cheesecake? Cheesecake
- pound cake or angel food cake? Angel food cake
- pound cake or brownie? Pound cake
- pound cake or pie? Maybe some pie
4. What makes you feel childlike wonder right now?
I'm just going to go with hanging out with James over the weekend.
5. What's one thing you need to add to your wardrobe to get ready for spring? If you're in the southern hemisphere, then answer for fall?
I can't say that I really need to add anything to my wardrobe. Maybe some tennis shoes. I have been a fan of LuLaRoe tops for many years now. Since I am on a blood thinner and I bruise like crazy now, I tend to wear long sleeves now all year long. It's not what I want to do but I don't feel I have a choice.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We watched James on Saturday and Sunday. Adam and Gabby had some wonderful plans with some friends. James had a soccer game so we met them at the soccer game and from there we took him back home and watched him Saturday and part of Sunday, along with the dogs at their house.
We took him to a small local zoo and also took the train ride they have. We had a really nice time with him. We also played some Bunko with him and the game Sorry a few times. It was the best of times. Mark also took him Sunday morning to go by donuts.
Train ride

I had no idea there was a national pound cake day. It's ok but it's not one of those things I get an occasional craving for.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good time with James.
Losing a tooth is pretty exciting stuff to a little boy. Looks like you had a fun day with James and nice weather to make it even better. Have a good day Debby!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a fun time you had with James at the zoo! That looks like a great place to visit! And he lost a tooth while eating a strawberry? It must've been pretty loose! So, I wonder if he put it under his pillow that night? Does the tooth fairy still come to take teeth these days? And I wonder how much the tooth fairy leaves for that tooth. I know inflation probably makes it worth a lot more than the quarter we used to get. LOL. I hope the rest of your March is very pleasant and "lamb-like". Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI love the missing tooth photo. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are able to get out with James!!
Continuing to pray for you Debby.
Carla
I'm so happy that Mark and you got to spend time with James at the petting zoo, Debby. He just gets cuter every day, even with that lost tooth! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you on long-sleeve tops! Not only do I bruise easily, but where did all this loose, crepe-y skin come from?!
ReplyDeleteI love reading about your times with Sweet James. There is just something really special about the grandparent/grandchild relationship. What a blessing for you to have been able to create this bond from day one.
ReplyDeleteBeing with James is just plain wonderful for you and that trip to the zoo was a perfect way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the "lost" tooth. Wonder how much the Tooth Fairy gave him , or does that happen any more?
Continued prayers for your health Debby.
Sue
It seems when you are with James all is right with the world. I am so glad you have that. He lost a tooth and Mackenzie just got two. Prayers for your health.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I am envious of all the time you get to spend with James, but am very glad for you. He is such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteHave a great month, Debby.
I would love to feed the animals with James, and I do love pound cake, March is just a month to me, makes me mad when the time changes though.
ReplyDeleteLove, hugs, and prayers. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI have read this a couple of days back but there is no comment from me, I don't know why that is, when I read about the lost tooth I thought losing a tooth as a child is so different to losing one in your 60's
