I mentioned last Friday that I surprised a blog friend while I was in Florida. I have been following Christine's Home and Travel Adventures for several years now. She has the most impressive collection of tableware you will ever find and does amazing tablescapes.
Over time we have talked about meeting up when we were both in Florida. She use to live in Florida and now her daughters live their so she visits often. (I'm not sure about her other children.) Actually she bought a second house in Florida recently. It seemed that every time she was in Florida I was here at home and visa versa!
Just before I left for Florida I saw that she posted about a Fund Raiser that they were having for her precious twin granddaughter Rea who had been diagnosed with childhood cancer. It was going to be on June 28th and I was still going to be in the area. I didn't tell her I was in town because I just wasn't sure if I could make it.
Well as it turned out I realized that I would be able to go and decided to surprise her. I didn't plan on staying long because they had a few hundred people expected to show up and we had a graduation party to attend. I will share some photos with you that I took but you really have to go over and read the post that she wrote about my surprise. It made my heart smile......

How wonderful that you finally got to meet. And if your visits are anything like my meeting up with online friends...they're even MORE sweet in person.

That is such a blessing.

That was a sweet post she wrote, Debby, especially having to deal with such a hard thing with a little one with cancer :(

Surprises are always good (unless they are from the tax office, in which case...). I always think it is so nice to finally put the person behind the blog as well. And it seems that you two hit it off!
