WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE #615

Thank you Joyce.

1. August is National Golf month...do you play? Do you enjoy following golf? Have you ever been to a professional tournament?

No I do not play golf but I am a fan. We do watch it on the weekend. I have never been to a professional tournament but would love to do that sometime.

2. Astronaut Jim Lovell of Apollo 13 fame passed away this past Thursday. Are you interested in outer space and what's happening today in terms of space exploration? If space travel became common in your lifetime would you go? How do you personally relate to the idea of exploring something vast and mysterious...does the idea excite you, intimidate you, or something else?

I've always been interested in the space travel. However, I have a niece who believes that space travel has never happened. It was all done in a studio.

I'm sorry but I remember seeing the very first men on the moon in 1969 and I believe it was true. I don't think I would want to travel in space. No, exploring something vast and mysterious does not excite me.

3. Describe your communication style in three words.

I'm not sure how to answer this but I would probably say "I text often."

4. Do you have a favorite cookbook? A favorite celebrity chef? Do you watch any cooking shows on TV?

Yes, it's the Fanny Farmer Cookbook. We have definitely watched cooking shows on TV, however there are a few that we haven't watched in awhile.

I have liked The British baking show. We also watch Guy Fieri on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I do like Gordon Ramsay and I watch Master Chef.

5. As a child did you have any back to school traditions? If so, did you carry on those same traditions with your own children? Do you have any back to school traditions you've started on your own?

None that I remember.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

So we had James here for a few hours last Thursday. He was going to spend the weekend with his cousins and Adam and Gabby had plans for the weekend.

So Gabby had some business out this way so Mark met her and brought James to the house. James was excited to pick veggies in the yard. He loves Snap Peas. We played Bunko, worked on a puzzle, played Candy Land and and had Jersey Mikes for lunch. He enjoys Jersey Mikes.

Then Mark took him to Bass Pro shop before he dropped him off at his cousins house. He loves walking about in that store.

I have more to share about my health, was going to do it here but this post is long enough. I will do a post for tomorrow.

It wouldn't let me post my normal click HERE to play along:

  1. Glad you had a good time with James. My grands enjoy the Bass shops too. I watched a lot of Master Chef when we lived in the UK. I don't watch a lot of cooking shows these days because they're less about cooking and more about competition. Hope you're feeling better!

  5. We love Guy Fieri! I'd forgotten about Gordon Ramsay, but he can be intimidating ... I'd probably wind up in tears. (lol)
I look forward to hearing more about your health journey, Debby.

  8. Debby, your link on the link up takes me to Joyce's questions and not your blog. FYI. Hooray that you had some good James time. Take care.

  10. I agree with the others ... James is so cute and is growing into a wonderful young man.
Praying for good report on your health.
I'm not really into golf but do watch it once in a while. Have never played "real" golf only mini golf.
I think I will keep my feet firmly planted on earth and let someone else do all that exploring.

  11. I love James on that big red off road tracker - it looks good on him.
So you like golf and space. I am not in to them so much. I agree about texting. So the Fanny Farmer is a good cookbook? I didn't know you had a garden.
