Thank you Joyce :)
1. July 24th is Amelia Earhart Day. Earhart was the first female to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. What's something you've recently accomplished solo?
Nothing is coming to mind but I do see my answer to #3 as something I would accomplish alone.
Nothing is coming to mind but I do see my answer to #3 as something I would accomplish alone.
Derma e Hand and Body Moisture Therapy Tangerine, it's my all time favorite!
3. Have you found your place in the world? Where is it?
I am going to say no. I love the ocean, I love the mountains, I love the country and I would be thrilled to live in the city too. I want them all! I do want to try living in London someday.
4. Worst movie you ever saw?
I can't answer this one. I went and looked at a few lists of worst movies ever made and I either didn't see them or I actually liked the movie! I do remember being very bored and disappointed in Born on the Fourth of July with Tom Cruise.
5. What's the last fun thing you did?
I'm going to say my Dad's 90th birthday party in Florida. It was an awesome gathering of family.
6. The month of July is named for Roman Emperor Julius Caesar...ever been to Rome? What's your favorite Italian dish?
No I haven't been to Rome but I have been to Italy. "Pizza" of course!
Take a nap when the baby is napping!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
We finally got around to seeing Quartet-IMBd on DVD which is a movie that was directed by Dustin Hoffman. Mark wasn't sure he wanted to see it but we were both very delighted with this movie.
"At a home for retired musicians, the annual concert to celebrate Verdi's birthday is disrupted by the arrival of Jean, an eternal diva and the former wife of one of the residents."
Then I took Amber to see The Conjuring-IMDb. I was going to wait for this one on DVD but Dylan had gone with his mother over the weekend when she was working so I decided to take her. I'm not into scary movies at all. I definitely liked this one. It didn't scare me, I found it pretty interesting. Of course I did jump a few time!
"Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren work to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in their farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives."
Enjoy the rest of your week.........

If a film is really disappointing, I tend to forget the name of it. But I think the one with Tom Cruise and Renée Zellweger was quite disappointing. I know who was in it, but I don't know the name...
I was thinking of you today Debby, wondering how excited your were about the royal baby!
I haven't heard of "Quartet", but will have to look for it. I work with a lady whose friend lived in the house where all of those things were suppose to happen in 'The Conjuring'. She had a thread on FB about it, & there was a guy who said he dated a girl who lived there for about 8 years...never saw or heard a thing (and she didn't either!
We had the same advice for Kate!
"Take a nap"...ha! ha!...great advice! Not sure I would want to live in London, but I would sure like to visit there someday!
everything I accomplish is done solo... from shopping to using the computer. i like learning new things on the computer and do so almost daily... and that is done all by myself... i live in Florida which is where I want to live, but we would like to live on the other coast, but not to leave Florida.
as for picking the worst movie... that is the same as in the eye of the beholder... what i LOVE you might hate... i can say if a movie wins big time in the academy awards i know i will not like it...
Thanks for the review on the Quartet. I have wanted to see it...but was not sure and no one has said anything about it.
ooh, i don't do scary well. :)
Is Quartet something I can rent on DVD? Working in a nursing home, I think I will love it!!!
It would really be an experience to live in London!
NO YOU DIDN'T go see The Conjuring!!! The previews scare me. I'll pass. LOL I'm like you about the mountains AND the ocean but, after living at the coast for nearly 30 years, I've found that it really does get into your blood. Now, a place featuring both would be great. Like Big Sur.
I could never bring myself to see The Conjuring. It's showing for the second week at the drive-in along with something Rich and I both would like to see, but we're just going to wait until it's not there anymore and hope less intense movies are there. ;-)
Isn't it ironic that we both named one of Tom Cruises' movies as one of the worst we've seen?!
Quartet sounds like a movie I might enjoy. I'll keep it in mind!
Why is that lotion so good and where do you get it?
I have a lot of movies I didn't like. The Exorcist, Natural Born Killer, things like that.
Have a good day.
Sandie
I started watching The Quartet and fell asleep! Probably not because the movie was bad, but more because I was exhausted and when I sat down went right to sleep. I'll try again when I'm not so tired.
I think living in London would be a great adventure.....I'll probably never live anywhere but here though.
Enjoyed reading these Debby. I did not see "Born on the Fourth of July" at the movies but remember sort-of liking it - I think. :)
I am with you on #3 - I like so many different kinds of places and could happily live in any of them.
Going to The Conjuring tomorrow with Wendy. Clap Clap! And I really enjoyed Quartet very much. Does this mean you will be living in London solo? Ann
There was one movie that I don't remember the name of that was just an awful movie. It had George Clooney in it and I did watch the whole thing because, hello, George Clooney, but I returned the video glad I bought it used do I wasn't out much.
I have a couple of products from Derma-E and like them a lot. The hand lotion sounds like it smells good!
No way I could watch The Conjuring. I hate any kind of scary movie.
We liked Quartet too, a sweet little movie. I'd love to have an apartment in London one day. Not likely, but we can dream, right?
I would like to see Quartet, but am way too chicken to see The Conjuring. I'm going to have to try the Derma-E products. Nice visiting you today!
I so have to add that movie to my list I never heard of it.
I need to find me some of that lotion it sounds Devine!
Earhart day...never knew there was one but love it. She had guts to follow her heart. A real inspiration to me.
Love your answers on the hodgepodge as always. Your dad's 90th celeberation - very cool. Have fun today!
I can't believe that movie didn't scare the pants off of you! I can't even watch the previews!
I just found your blog.
What a lovely place to just sit and visit.
Blessings!
Sue
We watch most movies at home, so if I don't like it I curl up on the couch and fall asleep...
