THIS AND THAT

Seriously I do not have a clue as to why the days are just flying by so quickly. As mentioned in a previous post I still have our trip to Montana, the baby shower and their house to write about. Just haven't felt like writing them.

Most weeks I'm finding it difficult to keep up reading everyone's posts. This bothers me. This can't all be because Mark is home, yet I was able to accomplish writing posts and reading posts before his retirement at the end of June. Something has just shifted for me and I don't like it. Blogging has been my joy since April 9, 2009.

I loved this season of Big Brother. I also watch BB After Dark which tapes for 3 hours every night in the middle of the night for the last 3 months. So yes this has taken up my time but I can blog and watch it at the same time. I'm also happy that the Fall Season of my favorite shows has started. 

A few things to report. I had to do a second check on my left breast after my mammogram in May. I had an appointment two months out because that was the soonest they could get me in. I was told that I had nothing to worry about. They just needed to look further because of my dense breasts. Well wouldn't you know that two months out we no longer had the same insurance. 

So I will keep this short even though I could type a few paragraphs about it and the rude woman I had for my second mammogram. All is well. Small cyst which needs no further action. 

Bowling started a few weeks ago which has been fun. I finally got my six referrals to see all of the doctor's I was previously seeing. I had five appointments last week. I have a few more appointments coming up in October but the transition has been somewhat easy. 

There has been a few small irritating issues that have taken many phone calls to get straightened out but all in all things are falling into place. Again I could write several paragraphs on the small irritating issues but they are over with so why bore you with that. 

Tonight we are having dinner with Adam and Gabby. We are celebrating my birthday which is next week. Since our grandsons due date is October 6th something can happen any day now. I am really looking forward to seeing them tonight. 

The last time we saw them was two weeks ago. We did have a conversation with them about the fact that we would really like to be able to stop over once a week to visit the baby after he is born. They are good with that. 

Gabby will be home for 4 months with the baby. When she starts back to work Adam is going to take his baby time off and stay home with him. Of course Adam will be home after he is born for the first week and work from home the second week. Gabby's mom will be staying with them too.

1. When did you last sing happy birthday to someone? When were you last sung to? Does that embarrass you or do you enjoy being the center of attention on your special day?
In June we sang Happy Birthday to my Dad on his 90th birthday. I was sung to last October 3rd so it's coming up soon again. I use to be embarrassed but not anymore.

2.  Name a famous or 'infamous' person (living or deceased) who shares your birth day and month. Is that someone you'd like to meet in person if it were possible?
Of course I had to Google this one because I had no clue and the list is rather boring!

3. Someone hands you a box tied up in a lovely bow...what are you hoping to find inside?
I haven't got a clue because that doesn't happen to me. I spent too many years dreaming about this so I'm not even going there!

4. What can you guarantee about yourself?

I am a good person, I like the truth, I'd give you the shirt off my back if needed and I love the relationship I have with God.

5. Talking art and beautiful cities here...'The Last Supper' in the Santa Maria della Grazie Abbey in Milan Italy or 'The Mona Lisa' in The Louvre, Paris...which would you most like to see up close and in person?  Why?
Well I saw the 'Mona Lisa' at The Louvre in Paris two years ago and it was amazing so I'm on my way to see 'The Last Supper' in Milan!

7. This coming weekend marks the official start of autumn (in the Northern hemisphere)...what is something you do to get ready for fall? What is one thing you're looking forward to on your fall calendar? Spring or fall-which do you prefer?
There is nothing special I do to prepare for Fall. I know a lot of people change their closets out but it's not like that here in California. My clothes are pretty much the same all year except for adding a sweater at times. I enjoy handing out candy at Halloween and I do love Thanksgiving but it's okay if things slow down for awhile. Spring or Fall.....I like them both!

Well tonight is the Season Finale of Big Brother 15 and I have to admit I am going to miss these guys. Since June 26th I have been watching 3 nights a week with every Thursday being a live eviction night! So tonight is the final three. Two competitions have already been played and the winners of the first two will have a competition tonight (most likely questions) and the winner will pick who they want sitting next to them as the finale two!!! The cast will vote for the winner who will receive $500,000. and the runner up will get $50,000. 

More importantly I am going to miss my Big Brother After Dark which is a live taping of the house for two hours each night. They show it at midnight on TVGN so I tape it and watch it in the morning while I'm on my computer. Last night was the last taping of After Dark. This is when you really get to know these people up close and personal. I have never paid CBS.com for the 24/7 live feed....I'm a huge fan but I have my limits! 

I do have my favorite who is actually in the final 3 so I'm crossing my fingers............
