WASH - RINSE- REPEAT

Honestly do you wash, rinse and repeat when you shampoo your hair?  (I don't repeat)

I really don't need an answer to that, obviously that is not what this post is about but since I have mentioned this before and haven't seen many results I thought it was worth a repeat!

I am not a fan of Google+ and I don't plan on joining either. Way to many friends of mine have lost all of their photos because of Google+ so be careful. The issue for me is that when you are linked with them you become a no-reply commenter unless you jump through some hoops to change your settings. So here are a few places that can help you with this issue. (If you are not connected to Google+ then you can just go into your settings to fix this)

 I'm only saying this because I love to comment back to the comments I get and it makes for a very unhappy camper here when I cannot comment back to you.

I sit here at my computer thinking that you must think I don't care about you but believe me I do.  So if you comment on my blog and you don't hear back from me it is because you are a no-reply or I'm dead!  Unless for some reason you don't want to be bothered with people emailing you back!

Now don't get me started on WORD VERIFICATION! But I will mention that in my opinion a pop-up screen or the screen that comes up where you can look at the post and comment makes it easier to comment on posts like Wednesday Hodgepodge or Friday Fragments. By the time I read the post and scroll down through all the comments I forget what I want to say in the box at the bottom :(  So I have to go up and down several times. (like I said, this is my opinion and some of these changes can make for an easier day when you read and comment on about 70 blogs a day)

IMPORTANT "NO-REPLY" INFORMATION

I haven't done a whole lot of investigation here but I do know that a bunch of favorite people who I have been blogging with for a long time have now become No-Reply when they were not before. If I am not responding to your comments then I would check out the below information. You know I am all about being a return commenter.  In my opinion I want to talk back and forth through email to you by responding to your comment. This may be the answer......

I recently found out something interesting from my blog friend Stacy over at Stacy Uncorked. Here is an excerpt from her post:

"You know what else is crazy? If you don’t have a blogger blog (as in blogger.com) but maybe used to (like I did) and decided to link your old blogger profile through Google+ (because it’s supposedly the thing to do) you might discover (the hard way) that you are now considered a ‘no-reply’ blogger when you’re leaving comments on blogger blogs. Did you follow all that?"

"The lovely Impulsive Addict was kind enough to hunt me down last week after I left a comment on her Talk To Us Tuesday post when she wasn’t able to reply to my comment – since she had been able to do so in the past, and likes to harass me (which I totally welcome) so I had to do some digging and found out that something was changed either with G+ or Blogger recently that changed the easily replied to status to ‘no-reply’."

 

"Luckily segregating blogger from G+ and reinstating my contact information did the trick. Let me know if you need help doing the segregation, I’m happy to help you become a reply blogger vs. a ‘don’t bother me’ blogger."

If you think this pertains to you I would love if you could fix this so I can keep the conversations going :)  I love how Stacy said "a don't bother me blogger" because that is exactly what I have been thinking!

MY APOLOGIES

I read all of my comments from my Gmail account. I don't go to my post to read the comments, I assumed that they are all sent to my email account. Well the other day I went into my Gmail account to delete all the spam mail. I do that when I see there are about 500 sitting there. Well it just so happens it was after my Wednesday Hodgepodge and I noticed some comments sitting in my spam mail. Are you kidding me!

So here is what I found out.  Gmail sends no-reply comments into spam. They don't send them into my blogger account for moderation or into the blog spam. They do however show up on my post page. These are people who I follow who have a blog but because they are no-reply their comments just go into spam mail.

So I want to apologize from the bottom of my heart if I haven't been over to your blog lately. I had no glue you were visiting me. Not that I wouldn't visit you but I have 1,395 blogs in my reader and sometimes I forgot, especially if you are new to me. So why are you a no-reply? In my opinion I like to comment on every comment I receive. That is how I build my friendship with my fellow bloggers.

Here I am thinking you never come over to visit with me. Did you know that by having your email address available it will not change a thing in your world of emails. You won't start getting a bunch of junk mail. What you will do is get my response to your comment and build a meaningful relationship with me. Doesn't that sound heavenly :)

I will start to go into my comments on my post to make sure I don't miss any of you again. I was never the type of person who only visits those who comment on my post. Do you know what I mean? Heck if that were the case blogging would be so easy for me. It would take me only a short time each day to go over and read those who commented! It's okay if you don't visit me every time I post, I get that, but when you do comment I want to comment back! For those people who actually leave a nice comment but are anonymous I would love to get to know you.

So did you know I have stock in Spam. That's right, I worked for Hormel at a Regional Office back in Oak Brook, Illinois back in the 80's. Before that I worked at the Corporate office for Ace Hardware in Oak Brook, Illinois and of course I spent seven years at Hallmark. I always thought it was kinda cool when people asked me where I worked. It was never some off beat place, it has always been a name that people recognized. Ya, I'm cool like that!
