SEE YOU LATER

There is no Hodgepodge today which actually works out well for me. Amber and Dylan arrive tomorrow and I can't wait. Prayers for a safe trip from Montana and home again for them and their dog Finley.

We also have a dinner with Adam, Gabby and James on Friday, James' 5th Birthday party on Saturday and then we will also hang out with Adam, Gabby and James on Monday.

Amber and Dylan will be here for 6 nights. I can't wait!

So I will be missing in action.
You all take care and have a great week ahead.

IT WAS A GREAT TWO WEEKS

Debby and Ray (aka Dad)
Miss him already!
ME TOO!

We went to the casino twice. My son and daughter joined us the first time. Went to visit my son and his best girls new condo in LA. Daughter and son-in-law came over for an evening with him, along with Charlie. Visited the neighbors where my aunt had lived. (He had become close with them during the two years he helped her out) He went with me to bowling and turned red when the ladies were buttering him up with compliments. We stopped and ate at a place called Philly's Best on our way home each week. It's a delicious cheese steak sandwich which he can't get in Florida.

Each morning when I blogged he watched a movie. He really enjoyed that. Skye wouldn't leave him alone for a minute. (fresh playmate) We went to breakfast one day at Denny's and walked the local mall. We went to a place called Tom's Farm, shopped the stores and ate hamburgers. After a very delicious steak dinner last night (Saturday) we played poker and had a ball! He took off on Sunday morning. (He was excited to have a Carl's Jr. hamburger at the airport before his flight. They don't have them in Florida)

I had a wonderful visit with my dad. I have to tell you with tears flowing down my face that it is so hard to see your parents getting old. Actually at 86 he is doing really well, he lives alone, still drives and his mind is really good. I am really struggling with him getting old. This is the first time I really cried when he left because the time now is so precious. (Tears don't come easily to me)

FYI: I spent so many years in tears in the past that I became hardened to crying. I had learned to turn my emotions off. Now with menopause they are showing up!

Dear Friends,

I am really excited because my Dad is coming to visit for two weeks. My Dad lives in Florida and I am here in California. We just don't get to see each other very often. Since my husband has a few weeks of traveling coming up I asked my Dad if he wanted to come and keep me company. I have a wonderful relationship with my Dad, he is my best friend. We lost my Mother 27 years ago. He will be able to meet Skye which I know he will enjoy. We will most likely have a visit or two to a casino, and he will go to bowling with me to cheer me on! It will also be wonderful for him to see my kids, his grandchildren, because they too don't get to see him very often. A few years ago my Dad was here in California about every other month helping his sister after the death of her husband. Since she passed in February of '08 he hasn't been back for a visit. I saw him last October when I celebrated my birthday in Florida with him. So like I said I am really excited.

I normally spend about six hours a day reading blogs and making comments. So while my Dad is here I will not be around as much so don't forget about me. I will be trying to do as much reading and commenting as I can but I know that you understand that the time with my Dad is very precious. (he turned 86 in June) So if I'm not leaving you comments you know where I am. If there is something that I need to know, important news, please email me at dpucci9972@gmail.com because I don't want to be left out of the loop.

Sincerely,

Debby

I'M BACK FOR A FEW DAYS

So my company is gone now and I miss them so much. I have always enjoyed my sister's grand children like they are my own. I listened to all of you and just enjoyed myself. After I got my house clean & did all the grocery shopping I was all set to enjoy their visit. It was so wonderful! We had such a wonderful week seeing everything we could possibly see in the time we had. We all got along great and laughed allot. Oh how I love my family in Florida. Thanks again for all of your support and prayers. My pictures are out of place but I'm sure your okay with that.
Ashlynn, Skye and Amber.

Amanda and Amber playing Wii.

We went to LasVegas on Tuesday morning and had a great time. Came home on Thursday.

Went to Hollywood to see the Walk of Stars and visited Michael Jackson's star so the girls could all leave flowers for him.

Had to see the Hollywood sign.

Skye enjoying the girls. She had an awesome time and so did the girls.

Everyone loved her and she was a pretty good girl.

Some notes on the trip:

So on Saturday my son, his best girl, my daughter & son-in-law all came over to visit with our Florida family. The great nieces had never meet my son & his girl. We had a great evening and played Wii bowling tournaments against the families. It was so much fun.

On Sunday my sister and BIL took the girls to Laguna Beach. I took a day of rest. Then on Monday we went to Hollywood to do the Walk of Stars, it was super hot outside but it was fun. Did Santa Monica Beach and meet my son & his girl for dinner. My daughter was also with us for the day. She is a huge Michael Jackson fan. That was a super long day but we got to drive through Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive which the girls loved.

Tuesday I joined them and went to Las Vegas for two nights. It was fantastic and I walked my butt off. I can't believe that my asthma was so good, only my legs hurt allot! We were laughing about our age and how much easier it is to do stuff with your kids because you are still young. It's a big difference doing it with grandkids! So the trip to Vegas was for Amanda who is a huge (B I G) Criss Angel fan. They had gotten 3rd row tickets for his show on Tuesday at the Luxor which is where we stayed. Amanda, Amber & my BIL went to the show. After the show my brother in law came to get me at 11pm so I could hang with Amanda in case Criss came out after the show. Actually he was out in front when we arrived. He was working with some of the special needs kids that came to the show and was giving them gifts from his shop. He is a very sweet man. Then the girls wanted to see him again so I went with Amanda and Amber to the show on Wed. night. It was a great show. Amanda was really sad that she couldn't stay for a signing at his store on Saturday.

We came home on Thursday and we did Knott's Berry Farm all day Friday. It was fun. We were going to go to LaJolla on Saturday but decided to take a day off before they left on Sunday. We had a fun day hanging out around the house and had a great steak dinner.

SO HERE IS THE BIG NEWS. My daughter and son-in-law took Amanda home with them on Friday night with a big surprise. A few hours later they drove to Vegas in the middle of the night so she could go to the signing. (We did get her mother's permission) OMG the girl can't stop crying about it. She is the biggest fan you will ever see. It was perfect, they waited for hours but she got to see him and get his autograph. He also spent allot of time with her and commented on her jacket that she made with his stuff all over it. She is sooooooo happy.

So Sunday I spent the day watching all my shows on the DVR. Today I am doing laundry and will start packing for Mammoth Lakes. I haven't been this busy in years! I have allot of pictures but since I don't share my kids on here I can't post them. (Amanda is going through allot right now with her parents divorce and she didn't want to go home. We cried allot Sunday morning. She is the sweetest girl and an excellent student.)

COMPANY'S COMING

My company is coming today so for the next 10 days I won't be spending the 5 or more hours each day in front of my computer reading your blogs and I want you to know that I will miss you. I will try to keep up as best I can. I know that Skye is looking forward to the company. Being a puppy she still likes to play with her mouth and that frightens me a little bit. She isn't biting you, just playing. Hope I can get the young girls to understand that. She also has this horrible/funny habit of jumping up onto your lap with such a quickness that it startles us all the time, not to mention that she has her face in your face in an instant! We get a kick out of it, we have had lots of dogs but my sister & brother-in-law haven't had dogs so I know they won't appreciate the dog in the face stunt. Skye B Quick is what I call here!
