Joyce's Wednesday Hodgepodge
1. This week's Hodgepodge is Volume 123. What's something you've done recently that was as easy as 1-2-3?
Nothing is coming to mind. Trying to coordinate a sort of family reunion has been a bit of a nightmare but buying some tickets to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park was simple through LivingSocial. We decided since we had so much fun at the Zoo we will do the Safari Park next! It was a half price deal and most likely we will spend some time in Carlsbad too.

2. The Wednesday Hodgepodge also happens to fall on the first day of May ...what is something you may do this month?
We will celebrate Amber's 32 birthday and I am assuming we will go out to eat for Mother's Day. To end the month with a bang I will be going to Vegas for three nights leaving on May 31st.
3. The Englishman Horace Walpole is credited as saying, "The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think" How do you see it?
The world can feel like a tragedy when you have a caring heart but I don't see why it would be a comedy to those we think.
4. May is National Hamburger Month...how often do you eat a burger? What are your must-haves when it comes to burgers? I assume you vegetarians won't be celebrating so tell us what you'd like instead?
At the very most it would be once. We don't eat a lot of red meat except when we go out. I do love the Gourmet Burger at Red Robin. I must have cheese on my burger at home but if I am at Red Robin I will get all the trimmings. We also have a very good Vegetarian Chipotle Black Bean burger that we buy at Costco.
5. Pansies, petunias, geraniums, impatiens...of the four mentioned, which is your favorite in a patio pot? Will there be pots on your patio this spring? (Or whenever spring comes to your part of the globe?) Who does the gardening at your house?
Hands down it's geraniums and I am lucky enough to enjoy their beauty all year long. We have a few pots on our patios. Mark does most of the trimming and we normally have flowers that bloom all year. We have 4 separate patios with flowers and ground cover growing between them, along with stepping stones. We have a gardener who cuts our front lawn each week.
6. When did you last (literally or figuratively) shout "Mayday, Mayday!"
I don't ever remember shouting that at anytime in my life.

7. Say farewell to your April in ten words or less.

It's back!!! ALL MY CHILDREN is now on Hulu and I enjoyed watching it on Monday. It felt like forever since it went off the air in September 23, 2011. I started watching it around 1974 but the show actually started on January 5th in 1970. Not sure if I will enjoy the racier scenes that would not have been allowed on ABC. It is free on Hulu if you stream it through your computer.
