JUST THOUGHT I'D STOP AND SAY HELLO

So I've been working on taking down Christmas....hooray! I will have almost everything organized today except for the big tree with it's ornaments. It's going to have to wait because I need to do some packing for myself on Monday and Tuesday. That is always stressful for me.

We are going to be going to Adam and Gabby's to watch James and the dogs starting on Wednesday. They are attending a wedding in Mexico this week. There will be a few days when James is going to spend time with Gabby's mom, his cousins and her sister and brother in law but we will still be watching Roxy and Gracie and it's just easier at their home then ours. (Gracie gets into a lot of trouble)

As you know, the Hallmark movies have been my go to during the pandemic. I'm trying to pull away and watch less. I've just had this routine in the morning where I watch one that I taped and have my coffee. Then I go on my computer for awhile along with doing some things around the house.

I don't think I shared with you the fact that I saw every new Christmas movie that was available on Hallmark, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Lifetime.

Hallmark Channels New Christmas Movies   -  31
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries   -  11
Lifetime   -  35

They were all recorded which means you can FF through the commercials which takes less time to watch. I know it sounds crazy, and maybe it is, but I've been watching the Christmas movies for years and years.

We celebrated Adam's 43rd birthday on Friday night. His birthday falls on Wednesday the 20th. We didn't make a big deal about in front of James, he didn't even know, except that we did get a beautiful meal delivered from Benihana's and a nice dessert which we ate after James went to bed. For now it's just easier this way because James gets upset if it's not his birthday.
Love, Mom and Dad

I also want to wish my Mother in law Vivian a Happy 94th Birthday. We all wanted to go to Houston to celebrate but with Covid it's just not the safest thing to do.

Speaking of Covid our son in law Dylan, who is a nurse, just tested positive. On some of his days off about 10 days ago he didn't feel well. When he went back to work they tested him and it was negative. This morning he woke up not feeling well and he tested positive. Keep him and Amber in your prayers. Hoping she doesn't get it too.

Hope all is well with everyone. Take care and God Bless.

WHAT TO POST??

I ended up walking around the yard yesterday to see if I could get some photos to share. There was not a Tuesday 4 or a Wednesday Hodgepodge this week.

Joyce has the pleasure of being with her two grandson's in person and I am so thrilled for her. With the pandemic she hasn't seen them in a very long time since they lived in Asia but will now be back in the states.

Our tomato plant....
Red onions....
Some of the lemons on our lemon tree....
Our Lantanas are going crazy this year....
Ferns are doing well too since the bunnies are not living in them anymore.
Speaking of the bunnies, can you see this one. This is my buddy. He doesn't run away and he gets a few baby carrot each night. That's him chillin' after he ate his carrots.
Love our yellow Hibiscus...
A bee on the bird of paradise which for some reason are blooming again.
A cute pink plant. Not sure what it is but we have 4 of them.
See that Ficus. That came with us from our house when we moved almost 15 years ago. It was an indoor plant at the time.

I know it's hard to see in the shadow but that's a Jade plant hiding an air conditioner. It was a cutting from my aunt and uncle's house.
Our Bougainvillea out in front....
And the one over the front door....

Our strawberries are doing well. I get about 6 to 10 strawberries each day. We seems to have a new zucchini each day too! Our weather has been very hot.

We are going to see James Friday night. I can't wait. Also on Friday I have a hair appointment in the afternoon. I can't wait....I've been waiting six weeks for this appointment!

Then I plan to run into Trader Joe's and hopefully over to Cheesecake Factory to pick up 2 slices of their new coconut cheesecake to bring over to Adam & Gabby.  It's going to be a busy day for me!

THIS AND THAT

Monday morning I had to be at the hospital at 7 am for an angiogram so I was up at 4:45 to shower and get ready. The hospital is about an hour away and you can never trust that traffic will be good.

This was something that was talked about back in February with my cardiologist when I was having the breathing issues and we wanted to make sure that the shortness of breath wasn't my heart. It wasn't fun but we left the hospital to head home around 1 pm. All was well, no blockages found. Yay!
My brother's attorney is literally a Godsend. He has been so wonderful. I don't know what my sister and I would have done without him. I won't go into some of the details but he has packed up his apartment and will be having someone come to take all the furniture away. He took pictures of everything to see if my sister or I wanted something.

He also came to us with a request to lower his price when he is doing things that anyone could do. Things that you don't need an attorney for. We don't have plans made yet to go to Milwaukee but I have to say that I can't wait to meet this man and give him a big hug!!

If you didn't read the post about him passing away last Saturday you can read it HERE.

Also, speaking of my brother there was article written about my brother that you can read HERE. Now this article was going to print having nothing to do with his passing. It was just about his career which is something the gentleman does who wrote it. However the timing was perfect. He contacted me through Facebook and he ended up making it a memorial for Raymond. He did however get the day wrong in his last minute fix but not the date.
I had my second gel injection in my right knee yesterday. I've had these before and they definitely have helped usually lasting about a year for me. Praying that they continue to work because if that is not the case then it turns into a knee replacement. At least that is what happened with my left knee. Steroids and gel injections did nothing at all.
My best friend who bowls with me has been trying to see my since the pandemic. Basically since March of 2020. She offered several times to come over and we would visit outside at a distance. We live about 25 miles away from each other but I just never felt like it. I was a bit of a poop during the lockdown.

Yesterday after my gel injection I met up with her. We talked for two hours and it was awesome. Bowling does start in September. I want to go but I do have two issues that may change that. I don't want to wear a mask for 3 hours but I might.

The alley is not allowed to ask anyone about being vaccinated so there is still a risk involved. Also we don't know what will actually be happening in our country in September.

The other issue I have is on my right hand and it is a finger that goes into a hole in the ball. I get a steroid shot about 2 times a year in the knuckle and this time it lasted about 10 days and then all hell broke loose. It hurts all the time. Will most likely get a referral to a hand doctor.
We are seeing Adam, Gabby and James tomorrow. It's been over two weeks since we went to Downtown Disney. I can't wait......

CALL ME CRAZY

Actually I drove myself crazy trying to keep up with all the Christmas movies this year from Hallmark, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Lifetime.

Obviously you can't watch them all at the same time when they are on at the same time so you do the magic of looking for the other times they are showing it with your DVR.

Then on top of that pressure I found times when my dad could watch them and set alarms to remind me to call him. Most of them were taped in the middle of the night so finding times for him to watch them was truly difficult.

So I got into the habit of having a cup of coffee and watching movies in the morning. Now I don't want to stop and face the fact that I need to get busy around the house.

Between those three stations there were 70 new movies this holiday season and yes I saw each and everyone of them! I am going to say that I enjoyed Lifetime's movies the most and Hallmark's Movies & Mysteries came in second place.

Random Acts of Kindness was my favorite which was on Lifetime along with a few others. So for the last few days I've been taping some that I have already seen just because I've enjoyed my morning routine so much. Normally first thing in the morning I'm on my computer.

Just for the record I'm also still listening to Christmas music while I'm on my computer. I bought Mark a Google Mini Home smart speaker for his birthday since we have enjoyed Adam & Gabby's for awhile now. I didn't even take out my CD's this year to play them.

I also watched Fred Claus, The Holiday, This Christmas, The Family Stone, Elf, Christmas With the Kranks, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, Arthur Christmas, Love the Coopers and The Santa Clause 1, 2 & 3.

I'M READY FOR MY RAINBOW

Like I said, I'm ready for my rainbow. August has been filled with one complication after another and I'm welcoming September and praying it's a great month. I'm tired of having my stomach in a knot each day along with not sleeping and grinding my teeth.

Here are some photos to brighten your day. I know that looking at pictures of James always brightens my day!

Upside down and all around. He loves looking at you upside down. He certainly has a good time!

Peek a boo!

Somebody got his hair trimmed yesterday!
Can you see his third bottom tooth coming in?

Also a big Happy Birthday to our son in law Dylan. He turns 38 today. We love you.

COMING ATTRACTIONS . . . .

Montana Trip: Pictures have been downloaded to my computer so that's progress for a post to be written. Here's one to enjoy.....

Baby Shower: It was wonderful and the pictures have been downloaded to my computer. Here's one for you to enjoy....
Gabby and Adam
Due October 6th

Their House: I haven't done a post about their house yet. The roof is going to be done this week so when I get a picture of the outside the next time I go there I will try to write a post with all that was done. Here's one to enjoy....

At The Movies: I have 4 movies to write reviews about. I do love going to the show. We go on Tuesday which is half price popcorn. Our local show is $5. all day everyday for seniors. So we get our tickets, the bucket of popcorn and a large water for under $20.

I swear to God the days are just going by so fast. I barely have time to breathe let along get stuff done. Sure I get the normal laundry done, kitchen stuff, dusting and vacuuming done.

I'm working on our tile grout in the house. We have so much tile and I can only do so many sections a day. I don't do it everyday but when I do, I do a few sections of maybe 8 tiles. They are 12 x 12. So it will take me at least six weeks to get it all done.

Mark has started painting the hallways. He already did the baseboards about six weeks ago. Then he will paint room by room. So there is stuff going one!

We go to the show on Tuesday's, I start bowling on Wednesday's and Mark goes shooting on Thursday's. Of course grocery shopping needs to be done too! But what about the deep cleaning that needs to be done, the cabinets, drawers and closets! When does that get done????

So with all of this being said, the posts will come eventually! Hope everyone is doing well.

THIS IS ME.....

I just can't seem to get my act together. Suddenly the days just seem to be passing me by and I'm not accomplishing much of anything. I'll blame it on Mark being home...LOL!

I need to post about our trip to Montana but haven't even downloaded my photos yet. We had a wonderful time. Always sad to say goodbye but Amber and Dylan will be coming here for a visit after the baby arrives.

I just love seeing the bales of hay along the road!

This Saturday is Adam and Gabby's baby shower which I'm so looking forward to. They were over last Saturday for dinner. We had a great time seeing them and Roxy. She is six months old now and such a sweet girl.

Hope all is well with everyone. I'm trying to visit a few blogs each day, trying to catch up with all of you......see you soon!!!

NO HODGEPODGE THIS WEEK :(

If only I would download my photo from my camera and write a blog post about Montana or maybe talk about my week in Las Vegas. Heck, I can't even get myself to read your blogs let alone write something of my own.

I just can't seem to get my life in order right now. Everything is overwhelming me and I know we have all been there, right?? So here are some images that I found relating to how I'm feeling right now......
