I haven't joined Meet Me On Monday in a very long time. Right now I just can't seem to find things to post about yet I want to post and I do enjoy answering questions so here we go:

1.  I keep putting off:
Going to the dentist and other necessary appointments for my health :(

2. What is your current weather?
86 degrees! We will be in the upper 70's this week.

3. What is the nicest room in your house?
I think it's our family room but my husbands office is a close second.

4. What jewelry do you never take off?
My earrings, a diamond stud and a small hoop in each ear. I also don't take off my wedding ring and a toe ring that has been on for at least 15 years.

5. Do you eat a snack before bed?
I do munch on nuts in the evening.

I really don't remember winning first place in anything by myself.

Yes, always. I live in Southern California and usually wear Birkenstocks all the time.

Brown

4. Look to your left....what do you see?
My pink plaid sweatshirt material blanket from Mammoth Lakes, CA.

5. Soft cookies or crunchy cookies?
I like crunchy cookies.

Questions:

1. Do you have any New Year's resolutions?
No but I do have a few goal's for the year. I actually have them listed in tomorrows Post It Notes. I bet you can't wait to come back!

2. What food item are you craving right now?
None right now, I ate way to much today. (Sunday) Our Daughter and son-in-law brought home leftovers from their dinner at his families house yesterday. I had ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, fruit salad and then pizza. (Not all in one sitting, it was throughout the day) My family insisted on finishing the deep dish pizza that was in the freezer, I didn't agree with them. I didn't make it for them but I did have some!

3. When is your birthday?
October 3rd, this is the year I turn 60 and turn into a pumpkin!

4. What were you doing an hour ago?
Filling my face with pizza and Rocky Road Candy!! Oh I was also watching "Salt" which I thought was pretty entertaining.

5. Last thing you cooked?
Well I made some Rocky Road Candy on New Year's Eve and the stove top was involved. Head on over to Headless Mom at The Adventures of the Headless Family and get the recipe. It is so delicious. It's part of what I was pigging out on an hour ago!!!

Questions:

1. What are your New Year's Eve plans?
We always stay home on New Year's Eve, watch a movie, eat some snacks, watch the New Year's Eve shows closer to midnight and have a toast with champagne. Something that I do which is a tradition that started with my grandparents is that you put dimes on a window sill outside for each person to bring them luck in the New Year. I put nickels out for the dogs however I do not follow their tradition of eating pickled herring!

2. How tall are you?
Well I have always been 5'2" but I think I may already be shrinking, at least I look that way in family pictures.

3. What is your favorite pudding flavor?
I don't eat a lot of pudding but I would have to say butterscotch.

4. What room of the house do you blog the most in?
My office. It's the exercise room off of the master bedroom. I never get any exercise in there! I have a desk, sofa, chair and a nice 50" TV. There is a glider in the room but it just collects dust!

5. What is your best physical feature?
I don't really see one anymore. It use to be my eyes, they have always been really big but since my face is heavier they don't stand out much anymore.

1. What will your Christmas dinner consist of?
This year our main meal will be Lou Malnati's Chicago Deep Dish Pizza with garlic bread, some Potato Soup for lunch, lots of dips, cookies and candy.

2. Do you watch commercials or flip through the channels?
I watch most of my shows taped with my DVR and FF through commercials.

3. How long will you leave your Christmas decorations up?
At least until Mid-January. It takes so long to decorate my tree and I really don't get to enjoy it fully until after Christmas. The latest it was every up is February 5th so that is my deadline. (I was sick that year)

4. What movie makes you cry every time you watch it?
My Life with Michael Keaton/Nicole Kidman and Return to Me with David Duchovny/Minnie Driver. It's a tie!

5. Do you have a Facebook?
Yes but I mainly go on to talk to my nieces & great nieces in Florida.

Questions:

1. How do you order your steak?
I order my steak medium, I use to do medium rare but medium is still pretty rare when you go out to eat. I had a delicious steak on Friday evening with a thick black olive paste on it at Mario's Place in Riverside, CA.

2. Are you superstitious about anything?
No I don't think I am.

3. Who is your best friend (not including your spouse)?
I can't answer that for sure. I have several.

4. When is the last time your wore a dress (for the guys...a suit)?
Oh my, it could be as long as almost 9 years ago at our daughters wedding.

5. Do you have any trips scheduled?
No, I think I did enough this year but hope to go maybe in February to see my dad in Florida and I think my brother will be visiting him from Wisconsin.

Questions:

1. What is your favorite way to eat chicken?
I like it almost anyway it's cooked. My husband grills it with olive oil, caraway seed and S&P, it's delicious.

2. Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
Just started on my tree. I have over 700 ornaments and this year I am taking a picture of each one for my blog Debby's Tree so it's taking forever. Then the rest of the house will get done soon after the tree is done.

3. What is your favorite article of clothing?
Pajamas!

4. Do you pay your bills online or write checks the old way?
My husband pays the bills online. I still write checks for a few things.

5. Do you make Christmas cookies?
Yes I will be baking cookies and some other treats. It will all be last minute right before Christmas after all the packages have been wrapped, shipped, cards mailed and other gifts for the house are all wrapped and under the tree. Everyone has their favorites so I will make them for each person.

P.S. I am in Las Vegas so I may not get to meet you for a few days!

1. How many pillows do you sleep with?
I sleep with two pillows. One of them is foam and I love it.

2. Where will you eat on Thanksgiving?
Well this year is different. We will be eating alone at home, just my husband and I. Our daughter and son-in-law will be going to his families house. Our son will be going out with his girlfriends family. Then on Friday we, daughter, SIL, husband and me, will be going to our son and his girlfriends condo in L.A. for a day after Thanksgiving feast!

3. Would you rather go to a party or host a party?
I would rather go to a party but we really don't do much of that. We are homebodies.

4. How many purses (for the guys..wallets) do you own?
I have always been a pretty big purse collector but I have slowed down since I started buying Louis Vuitton.

5. What is your favorite kind of seafood?
Lobster is my favorite.

1. Do you eat Sushi?
No but it's mainly because I really haven't had the opportunity to try it.

2. What kind of bath soap do you use?
Well we always have Irish Spring in the shower but I always have others that I am trying all the time.

3. How often do you talk to your Mom?
My mom is deceased but I do talk to her every once in awhile in heaven.

4. What TV shows do you watch on a regular basis?
Brothers & Sisters, Grey's Anatomy, Glee, The Mentalist, Monday's CBS line up, Parenthood, Medium, Private Practice, Weeds, Modern Family, Desperate Housewives, Oprah, All My Children, The Big Bang Theory, Big Brother, Tori & Dean, Housewives of NJ and The Closer just to name a few!

5. Did you start Christmas shopping yet?
Yes I did. I actually buy a lot of gifts after Christmas at 1/2 price and then I buy throughout the year. Now it's crunch time to get all the rest. Except for my immediate family here in California the rest of the gifts all get mailed out of state!

Questions:

1. Do you sleep with a night light on?
No but there are several around the house so you can walk around without turning on lights. We have a sliding door in our bedroom that does not have curtains so we do have the city lights in the background.

2. What do you drink with dinner?
Usually water w/lemonade. Sometimes a glass of wine depending on the dinner.

3. Do you play the lottery? If so, how often?
My husband does it and he has a ticket for each drawing. He actually won $11,000. a few years ago. I have to say that he was lucky enough to have a very nice woman wait on him because he didn't know it was a winning ticket. (you have heard the stories how some people have said it wasn't a winner and kept it for themselves) Actually I was with a friend coming home from Vegas years ago, went to check a ticket at some gas station and the guy said no winner and immediatly put it under his counter. Talking about it later my friend thought that maybe I was taken.

4. How often do you go to the grocery store?
Maybe once a month. We do the majority of our shopping at Costco every 4-6 weeks. I may pick some things up if I go to Walmart or Target.

5. Would you rather travel back in time 500 years or travel forward 500 years?
I would rather travel forward providing my family is with me. However after saying that it might be nice to meet relatives from the past. (I guess I am not sure about my answer)

I live in a home on a hilltop.

Washing Windows, then it's cleaning the wooden blinds & then the floors.

THREE OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE + MEET ME ON MONDAY

For those of you who are here for MEET ME ON MONDAY it is towards the bottom of the page.Here are three of my favorite people that you can also meet. Happy Monday to all and thank you ALL for the wonderful Birthday wishes yesterday, I really appreciated them. xoxo

I obviously have other favorites in the world of blogging but today I want you to meet these three. I am going to introduce you to Alexis, Amy and Kristin. Amy and Alexis are also friends but I always say I am their favorite when it comes down to it. We are surely three of a kind, equal in our friendships. Today I am going to focus on Kristin because she had a post last Saturday that was written for me only she didn't actually know that. So here I go in alphabetical order because I won't have to claim a favorite. (love each of you equally for different reasons)

Alexis is from Running away? I'll Help you pack! Mom 2 my crazy 2 is her link name. No her children are not crazy but they are two active little boys. I think she would agree with me when I say her life is crazy. Busy crazy all the time! This woman accomplishes more in her week then I could ever have done in a month in my younger days. Speaking of that I could easily be the mother to all of these ladies. I must have youth in my heart because I get them and love them. Head on over and visit with Alexis and live vicariously through her busy life with her husband and her boys Caden & Cole. She cooks and bakes like no one else I know.

Then we have Amy from Keeping up with the Schultz Family. Amy's life is not as busy and I enjoy reading about her daily life with her cutie pie Alyce. Just look at the sweet picture she posted for me last Tuesday, she knows how much I love giraffes. We have very similar likes when it comes to TV. We have a close relationship which involves not just reading each others blog posts but we also email each other almost everyday. Lookie here, this is the proof of the friendships we have with each other. Amy's favorite is ME and Alexis' favorite is ME. I can say this because as you know I am the Queen! We are three peas in a pod.

I will often sit and daydream about the three of us meeting one day. I have even said to my husband "what would you think if I bought the three of us tickets to meet somewhere" and of course he thinks I'm crazy. I'm thinking that maybe the three of us need to go to Jacksonville, FL and spend some time with Kristin!

Kristin is from The Goat and I love reading her blog. She just has the best posts with links to the best places to visit like this one which was one of her Friday Fragments. I also enjoy her photos. She takes pictures that I fall in love with each time she posts them. Her eye sees what I see but I am not able to get it in a photo like she does. Here is one of her POTD posts and she does them often. She also has an Etsy shop! I know I have given you several links to visit but I assure you that you will fall in love with Kristin too!

So last Saturday I was reading blogs and trying to get caught up because we were going to go to the apple orchards for apples. Duh! So I was reading her latest post and I was so thrilled when I read it. She was talking about one of her favorite top 10 items. Its an Anchor Hocking Microwave dish and I have owned one forever! I love it too and then she found some at an estate sale that she went to. Then on top of that she talks about the applesauce that she makes in it in the microwave. I was just searching for easy recipes for making applesauce and there it was. Like I said she wrote that post for me but didn't even know it!

We share a love of dishtowels and I just love the way she has hers displayed in her kitchen. She also shares a passion with my daughter for collecting smashed pennies. Something else that she collects are fortunes that you get in fortune cookies. So when I was in Mammoth Lakes this summer I got her a smashed penny and mailed her a little surprise package with the smashed penny, a dish cloth and some fortunes.

I know it is a long post, something I don't like to do but there was just a lot to say about these three friends of mine. I hope you had some time to go to the links, if not I hope you can find time to come back and check them all out.

I make a great Black Bean Chili and also a pretty good lasagna.

Every other week.

Chicago to California

Breakfast for dinner except for those days when I have cold pizza for breakfast!

We have 4 in our home. There is not one in the bedroom.

2. What is on your bedside table?
Clock, lamp, and a phone.

3. How many pair of shoes do you own?
Maybe 20 but several of them are warn out and need to be tossed.

4. Can you change a flat tire?
I know how but I do not believe I have the strength anymore.

5. Do you like sweet treats or salty treats?
Well I am in love with Sour Patch Kids and Reese's Peanut Butter cups so I guess my answer is sweets. I also will enjoy a bag of Salt & Vinegar chips too!

ALSO I WANT TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO MY BROTHER WHO IS CELEBRATING A BIRTHDAY TODAY. HOPE IT'S A GOOD ONE AND I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART.

1. What is your favorite all time movie?
It's a Wonderful Life

2. How often do you go over the speed limit?
I always drive over the posted limit but I set my cruise control, otherwise I would be flying with everyone else at 80!!

3. What really gives you the creeps?
Snakes & spider for sure but I have found that I have a hard time watching things on TV or in movies with a lot of blood.

4. What is your favorite snack?
I love eating Frosted Mini Wheat's as a snack. If it's chocolate it is Reese's BIG Peanut butter cups.

5. Would you rather be a dog named Killer or a cat named Fluffy?
So I can't be a dog named Fluffy? Okay I'm going to be the dog.
