Today we are going to celebrate Amber's 35th birthday which was Wednesday. They had a great day at the San Diego Zoo. Also celebrating Dylan's Nurse Pinning! We are heading out to her favorite Panda Inn Restaurant in Ontario, CA and we have a Baskin-Robbins Oreo Ice Cream Cake for her along with presents!!!

I've only taken about 20 pictures since I got home from Florida a month ago.  I am so bored but I'm not sure why. I guess I'm a little depressed right now because nothing makes me happy and I am quick to anger. Stay out of my path, this is a warning! 

Movies I like to watch over and over again are boring me. I really want that beach trip or to possibly just run away from home ....whichever comes first.  

Sadly we are having trouble scheduling our trip between Mark's travels and every place we like has been sold out. We have kinda changed our thoughts on our destinations because one of the towns doesn't actually have a beach unless you go down a huge cliff which I can't do. I want to be able to get up, walk outside and go for a walk on the beach.

 4 New Run Flat Tires on my Mini Cooper

Mark meet me at American Tire on Friday afternoon. We found a good deal on the run flat tires which have actually gone down in price over the years. Yay! My car only has 28,000 miles on it but it will be 8 years old at the end of the month. My tires were in the yellow zone and I just felt it was time. 

I made a promise to myself to go to American Tire when I needed new ones because 3 times each year they have checked my tire pressure for me when the sensor's go off when temperature's change throughout the year which will cause them to lose pressure.

LOW CLOUDS AND FOG

Earlier this week we had a morning of very low clouds and fog. Thought I would share it with you. I actually went out to the show about 3 hours after these photos were taken and I had to drive through a very thick fog.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

THE GALLERY WALL

Across from our dining room is a wall that was called The Gallery Wall on the floor plans for our house. It's a large wall and we have 11 foot ceilings in our home. After our trip to Europe 2 years ago I had my photo from the Eiffel Tower put onto canvas. I had already had the smaller Ranunculus flowers on canvas. I would always take advantage of the free 8 x 10 offers when they came around. So we decided to start a wall of canvas from our trips. 

It's been growing and it is finally starting to come together. We plan to keep going from floor to ceiling as time moves forward. The newest canvas just arrived and will be hung to the left of the gorilla canvas. It's a giraffe from the San Diego Zoo. (the wall is longer, that is a hallway corner pillar in the view)

I write the place and date on the back of each canvas and put my initials too! You will see at the top is a leaf with grapes from the Vineyard we visited. The cloud photo from our return trip from Vegas a few months ago. The sunflowers are from our drive from Paris to Italy. The pier is from the lake where we spent a lot of summers with our children at my dads cottage near Antioch, IL. The wild flowers are from Hyde Park in London. 

I wish you could see this wall in person because it is stunning. I have taken numerous pictures time and time again yet I just can't capture it's beauty in my photos. 

This one is not from a trip but I love the way it turned out. I purchased this adorable wine glass and had taken this picture and put it on Instagram. Well a few weeks later I was washing the glass and the decals came off! I couldn't believe it. Of course the glass was returned and I certainly wasn't going to replace it with another one so when I got another offer I decided to put the Instagram picture on canvas. I'm so glad I did because I love the saying and needed a way to preserve it for myself! 

YOU OUGHTA BE IN PICTURES.....

I want to share this important bit of information with you. I saw it over at Anna's blog An Inch of Gray. (I did ask her permission to share this) If you watch the video from NBC NIGHTLY NEWS completely you will see that Anna with her children are pictured in this news report. If nothing else this will show you just how important it is to be in pictures with your children. Better late than never!  Original story here.

So I started looking and I am hard pressed to find pictures with me and my children. Other than our photo from Christmas in 2010 I haven't found one yet. Now I know that there are a few out there that have been taken by others but I don't have them. It's time to change our ways!!!

Since I am on the subject of Anna's blog, do you remember my post last year on Jack's Tree? This tree was decorated in honor of Jack who passed away in September 2011. I had decorated our Norfolk Pine last December at Christmas.

You can read the full story at FOR YOUR TEARS. I just wanted to show you how large the Norfolk Pine has gotten and that the owl tag is still hanging on it 10 months later.

PICTURES TO SHARE AND WINNERS TO ANNOUNCE

So wasn't it just a week or so ago that I said "On a clear day you can see forever?" Well it hasn't been that way for two days now. The fog isn't burning away until after 2PM. Just thought I would share this with you because I know you always want to know every detail in my life.

Of course being in Southern California we have flowers year round so I thought I would share some roses that where opening up on one of our trailing bushes.

So one day on Pinterest someone showed a picture of these, M&M Candy Corn, and I knew I had to try them. I am a fan of white chocolate and candy corn. (I didn't buy any candy corn this year because I can't stop eating them) These are really good in my opinion. They are pretty rich so you can't sit and eat the whole bag which is a good thing! Also they have pumpkin peeps this year and I wanted to show you my cute little candy corn tin. I don't just like the candy I like all things that look like candy corn too!

I recently had two giveaways and I wanted to share the winners with you.
