Do you remember my post from January 9th and the shopping I did at
Tender Heart Treasures? Well here is the shipment I received last week.
My daughter was over and helped me unpack these boxes. My husband was also watching and we were actually amazed at the quality of everything I received. The picture below isn't everything I ordered. I also got a beautiful cloth shower curtain with cute button loops at the top for like $5.00. Got a couple of tin signs for like $1.99 each and several other things. The large acorns look so cute in this wire bowl that I had which was missing it's glass liner. I plan on doing a tree with just pine cones and thought the red and white ones would be really cute on it. The little lighthouse pictures are tin and so cute. (
gift for next Christmas) The 3 shots of the birdhouses is a swag.
The two pictures on the bed are huge and will be hanging them in my guest room that has no pictures up yet! I love the Rooster sign in red painted metal and it will be going up in the kitchen. (
Headless Mom close your eyes) The photo of the bowling pins was something that I found on Urban Outfitters, they are like 3 inches tall, blown glass and I will use them next Christmas for bowling gifts. Got them for like $2.99 each, originally $10.00. I love a great sale!
These cute little Willow Tree pieces were recently added to my collection when I went and shopped at a Hallmark store in the area that was closing with 50% off everything. These are actually new pieces and I was so happy to get them. I ended up buying all the cards I need for the year and then some. I know that a few people couldn't understand why I would buy so many and I told them that I went through my calendar and bought accordingly. I would be buying them anyway so why not save 50%!

Last Friday morning this was the sky I saw. I thought it was beautiful. I know on the news they talked about the evening sky that same day.
So the kids came over on Saturday for dinner. I decided to try a recipe I saw over at my friends Lori's blog @ Altered Glass. It called Light N' Creamy Chocolate Cake Roll. It was really good and actually not that hard to make. Her pictures are better but the end result was the same.
So here it is. The rug arrived on Wednesday. The UPS guy didn't even ring the doorbell which surprised me because he is usually a really helpful guy. The rug weighed 50 pounds, 8 x 10 in size and he just leaned it against the house. I got it into the family room and took a few pictures. Then when my husband came home we arranged it where we had planned on putting it. Let me tell you that for $375. it is a beautiful rug. I always look at rugs at Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, etc. The quality is amazing. I know that they messed up on the original shipping but it was well worth it. You can compare it to rugs that are easily $1,400. My husband said we should order rugs for every room. The other rug in the picture is a rug that I bought two of for in front of our sinks in our bathroom. We really like them.
