Last Friday morning this was the sky I saw. I thought it was beautiful. I know on the news they talked about the evening sky that same day.
So the kids came over on Saturday for dinner. I decided to try a recipe I saw over at my friends Lori's blog @
Altered Glass. It called Light N' Creamy Chocolate Cake Roll. It was really good and actually not that hard to make. Her pictures are better but the end result was the same.
So here it is. The rug arrived on Wednesday. The UPS guy didn't even ring the doorbell which surprised me because he is usually a really helpful guy. The rug weighed 50 pounds, 8 x 10 in size and he just leaned it against the house. I got it into the family room and took a few pictures. Then when my husband came home we arranged it where we had planned on putting it. Let me tell you that for $375. it is a beautiful rug. I always look at rugs at Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, etc. The quality is amazing. I know that they messed up on the original shipping but it was well worth it. You can compare it to rugs that are easily $1,400. My husband said we should order rugs for every room. The other rug in the picture is a rug that I bought two of for in front of our sinks in our bathroom. We really like them.

I love area rugs on wood floors. They just look beautiful! And what a gorgeous rug you picked out.

Very nice new rugs. We find here that the UPS person sets things on the front porch and if we don't hear someone out there, we find the delivery later.
You asked me when you left a comment on my blog if we watch movies. We rarely go to the movie theater, maybe once a year if that. We check out movies at library sometimes. Haven't watched a movie in a couple months now. Probably check one out next library stop. We have so much more time to do things together and/or individually. We play UNO or other cards and laugh and play. We have dominoes and an electronic dart board. We walk together. Three seasons we bike ride on bike trails. Seems like we are busy all the time. Just not on anyone else's schedule.
Our new house is all hardwoods so we're going to need to invest in some rugs!
You have a keen eye for beautiful pieces - it's lovely! I wish I could find such treasures, our selection here is a bit sparse to say the least.

yeah! It finally came, and worth waiting for, right? It is absolutely beautiful!!! I love your family room too :) Wow $375 is a great price, I'm going to go look around at pottery barn, I actually need an area rug too. My husband moved his office out, and now I have an extra room in the house to decorate how I want, yeah! I plan on posting a before and after video of my house soon. We've been remodeling for 3 years now, lol. I'm pleased with how it all turned out!
