Not with my big mouth! Of course this is my post and I may not share everything but you know I'm not a quite person. I didn't take many pictures, only had my phone. I've been going every year with bowling for over 15 years now and we often go a few times each year because Mark will have a convention to attend so I no longer bring my camera.
We left on Wednesday morning and our first destination was going to be Aurelio's Pizza in Henderson. Several years ago I was doing a search for Aurelio's locations and was shocked when I saw one in Las Vegas. It was on the North side of town and of course we had to visit there and check it out. It has always been one of our favorites from Chicago. Then we went to take a friend there last year and found out it was closed...OMG no way!
Well we did a search and were able to find that they had one in Henderson with is the South side of Vegas. We have been to this one a few times. Guess what........closed!!! We were broken hearted. It's not about the pizza, or maybe it is because we find that people really don't know Chicago pizza unless you grow up with it. Well we did another search and we found out that a new one had opened in another location in North Vegas. Happy dance!!!!
So we had a wonderful lunch and then went to check into the hotel. The Aria is one of the newest hotels to open in Vegas and we loved it once we found the entrance. Little lady on navigation gave us the run around for awhile. We knew where it was but sometimes finding their entrance off the strip can be difficult.
Outside at the main entrance they have a wall that water flows down on, sometimes slow, sometimes very fast and just wonderful to watch. FYI: They filmed the new movie LAST VEGAS here which open on November 1st.
Inside the main entrance they have leaves falling from the ceiling which was very beautiful. I love leaves!
We got all registered and took off to see our room and unpack our suitcases. The room was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay here. We will be going back!
Just had to show you the shower....the tub and shower are in the same location....very different!
After we got everything settled in the room we went downstairs to walk around and check things out. Then we stopped in one of the bars, sat on a lovely sofa and had a glass of wine.
The casino was awesome. I had fun playing my Keno machines. Mark even played Keno with me since he had quickly lost a few hundred dollars at blackjack. He normally does very well at it but it was a nice change for me to have him sitting next to me.
He finally understood why I play Keno....because I can usually play for a long time on a $20. bill. He ended playing with me the next night too and it was really a fun time! The money I brought with me came home with me. Didn't win anything big but was able to play on their money which is what I really enjoy doing.

On Thursday night we had a fabulous dinner at SHe Morton's. We took it slow and spent about two hours sharing a bottle of wine. We had an appetizer that was delicious, guacamole with crab and lobster. Then we shared what they call a WE chopped salad which was for two to share. Then we each had beautiful filet Mignon's. We also had coffee and a Tiramisu dessert. This dinner was amazing.
When we left on Friday we stopped and got a few pizza's to take home for dinner....yum. Of course I don't dare get on the scale for a few days...............but it was definitely worth it!
