I went to see The Duff on Tuesday 3/24/15. I mainly went because I really like Mae Whitman. If you watched Parenthood you will know her as Amber Holt.
I fell in love with her years ago in movies like Independence Day, One Fine Day, Hope Floats and When a Man Loves a Woman which are movies I still like to watch. She has been in at least a hundred TV shows over the years too!
I enjoyed this movie. It was exactly what I expected to be and I found it entertaining.
"A high school senior instigates a social pecking order revolution after finding out that she has been labeled the DUFF - Designated Ugly Fat Friend - by her prettier, more popular counterparts."
On Tuesday 3/31/15 I went to see Do You Believe? This was an excellent Christian based movie. If you get a chance you should try to see it. I love the way the movie weaves everyone together throughout the movie.
"When a pastor is shaken by the visible faith of a street-corner preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action. His response ignites a journey that impacts everyone it touches in ways that only God could orchestrate."
On Tuesday 4/7/15 I went to see Get Hard. Your probably wondering why in the world would I see this movie??? Well I happen to like Will Farrell, he cracks me up! I found this movie to be very entertaining.
"When millionaire James King is jailed for fraud and bound for San Quentin, he turns to Darnell Lewis to prep him to go behind bars."
On Thursday 4/9/2015 Mark and I went to see Furious 7. Well this movie could have been call non-stop because the action never stops!
I wanted to see it in honor of Paul Walker who passed away in a car crash November 30, 2013. I had only seen one Fast and Furious (6) before this one which I enjoyed.
This movie was very good. I have to say it was hard watching knowing that Paul has since passed away but they did a nice job making it a tribute to him also.
"Deckard Shaw seeks revenge against Dominic Toretto and his family for his comatose brother."
On Wednesday 4/15/2015 I saw Woman in Gold. This movie was excellent. I hope you have an opportunity to see it someday. It is based on a true story of Maria Altmann who tried to get back a painting of her aunt that was stolen by the Nazi's during World War II.
"Maria Altmann, an octogenarian Jewish refugee, takes on the Austrian government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family."
Yesterday, Friday, 4/17/15 I went to see While We're Young. I enjoyed this movie a lot. It follows Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts (Josh and Cornelia) as they venture out with some new young friends they meet while their current friends in their age group are having children. Some very interesting surprises here......
"A middle-aged couple's career and marriage are overturned when a disarming young couple enters their lives."
Recently I watch Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb on Netflix DVD and enjoyed it. I never got around to seeing it at the show.
This was the first Night at the Museum movie that Mark has seen and he actually enjoyed it more than he thought he would. Of course seeing Robin Williams made me sad, such a great talent to be gone so soon.
Today I am going to watch Exodus: Gods and Kings which I didn't get to see at the show either. It just came out on DVD through Netflix. Hope I like it! (Mark doesn't want to watch it with me)
Have a fun weekend and a great week ahead.
We get to spend our day with Adam tomorrow and I can't wait! We are picking him up at LAX in the morning and taking him to their condo to drop off his luggage. Then out for an adventure and a great meal somewhere in L.A.
