Skye was spayed today and she is kind of stoned but if you look close her tongue is out and it's so darn cute. I was so worried today. I had to drop her off at 7AM and they said they would call as soon as the surgery is done. I knew that the doctor wasn't coming in until 9AM but by noon I was a wreak thinking that something went wrong. See you could pass on the blood work because of her age assuming that she is a healthy puppy. The blood work would show how she would respond to the anesthesia. They made it an option and of course my husband said we should pass on it. Save $75. but all week I was thinking what if something goes wrong, I would never forgive myself. Finally at 12:30 the doctor called and said that she was doing well and I could pick her up around 4PM. She also said that she is so adorable and cute. I was the proud mom and said I know, I just love her so much. So she is home and we have her in her kennel because she really needs to rest. She did pee as soon as we got home so that is a good sign. We have pain medication for her so she should be knocked out most of the weekend. Right now I know that she knows us but just barely! The vet was very specific that this was "major surgery" and that she needs to lay low for the next 10 days. So I ask you, how do you keep a puppy quite for 10 days?

I saw your comment over at Tootsie Farklepants' blog... I was drawn to visit because you mentioned that you have a Cairn Terrier and yes, I agree, she is adorable.
We had a Cairn Terrier years ago named Haggis and he was the smartest, liveliest dog ever. Crazy smart. At ten weeks old, he broke off his leash about twenty blocks from home and beelined for the house... he made it! All the turns and corners, that little rat knew his way home! I have no idea how to keep those sassy dogs quiet so good luck to you.
