I am heading back to the pool today. It was hotter then heck yesterday but I actually sat in the shade and listened to music : ) Here are a few pictures I was able to put together. Still working on getting over to visit with each of you so expect to see me soon.
The small lake is near the pool which I enjoyed looking at. The ducks keep swimming by, there was a turtle poking his head out of the water and he was a big one! Took a picture of my Dad, see how great he looks. I even let him drive the car back to his place to get some practice. He can drive in about two weeks. The drive was only about 7 houses over but I thought it would be a good way to get him back behind the wheel. Oh, those were the only clouds in the sky!
We sat out to the side of my dad's place one night. He was telling me how they use to see deer back behind his place by the small creek that runs through to the lake. I heard some ducks making some noise, went to look and there were six deer!! Boy was my dad surprised. It was late in the day and the pictures are not great but you can see them. I love the moss that hangs in the trees. That's my dads place and his view of the lake.

These are my great-nieces and great-nephew + one. First you see Amanda who is now a freshman. Then Amanda with a visiting friend from Georgia. Below them is Garrett who will be going to Kindergarten. Below is Amber, also a freshman, and next to her is Ashlynn who is going into 4th grade. Amanda, Ashlynn & Garrett belong to my niece Michele. Amber belongs to my niece Melissa. These are my sisters grandchildren. (this was on Sunday)
We were able to go over to the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs, FL. I have been there many, many times to go and eat Gyros. We walked around a little in the gift shops, bought some fudge and then went to have our dinner. It was fun! These were with my cell phone and the restaurant is a picture from a postcard! (this was yesterday)
Now this sign, which I thought my friend Kristin from The Goat might enjoy, is a place with memories for me. My grandparents, my mothers parents, moved to Florida from Illinois when I was a very young girl. They bought a mobile home at this mobile park. I can remember being there when I was maybe 10, that was when my grandmother gave my sister and I short permed poodle haircuts! I actually visited this park many times over the years. It's still here and maybe a mile from my dads place. I just had to take a picture.

loved all the pictures! your nieces/nephews are so beautiful/handsome! bet it is nice to have the time to re-connect with them and get to know them a bit before you come back to California. Your dad looks great! I thought it was neat how he was talking about the memory of seeing deer and then the deer graced his backyard (I think a God thing indeed)

I was really surprised that their were deer - not something I expect to see with palm trees - ha ha.

Oh awesome, you're in my neck of the woods a little. Or not too far! Yes, it's hot as heck here in FL. Brutal. But great pics. Your Dad's a cutie.
Great pictures! I love summer and beaches for sure. So nice to have children visit! I can't wait to have grandchildren, or friends grandchildren visit in the summers!
