It's March....I can hardly believe it! Why do these years have to fly by so quickly? Did you know that it's only 298 days until Christmas. Shush....you didn't hear that from me!
I have a few things to share with you but it's really just some nothingness however if you heard about the fires in Riverside, CA that certainly wasn't nothing. We could see the fire from our yard. There was one point where a huge amount of birds were swirling around in the smoke and then they seemed to get past it and move on. Obviously I never want anyone to get hurt or lose their home in a fire like this but my heart does feel for the animals that would most likely not have survived this fire.
I have a few recipes to share from Pinterest. I had 3 fails recently which makes me kinda angry. If your posting a recipe it should work....I'm just sayin'
Slow Cooker Salsa Verde Pork by Chief in Training. Nikki is one of my favorites and I do follow her in my reader. This came out so good. I didn't have a pork roast but I had the thick boneless pork chops from Costco which worked fine. I just so happened to have a cooking sauce that I got from Two Sisters Gourmet which is from PartyLight which looked just like a salsa so used it. I don't know if it was the simmering sauce I had or not but this was excellent. I have searched and I don't see the salsa available from Two Sisters Gourmet anymore. I will try this again with her suggested salsa.
Tomorrow morning I will be on my quest very early trying to buy The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. Also Target has Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse on sale for $7.00 each. I only own The Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn Part 1 which I watch almost daily. I can't seem to get enough of it. I was recently going to go to the show to see Part 2 again last week but it had left the theatre it was at so imagine my surprise when I saw it was being released this Saturday.
Downton Abbey Season 3 disk one arrived yesterday and I can't wait to start watching it. If you see me on Facebook you would know that I was washing my floors yesterday. Sometimes I mop them, or sometimes I use a Hoover machine that I have but then there are those times when you have to get down on your hands and knees to give the grout a good cleaning. So I am doing it in sections because we have a massive amount of tile in our house. Today I will be doing the kitchen and then I will shower and start watching Season 3. I'm really excited.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend. We don't have an specific plans but we do need to make a run to Costco. I need to give Miss Skye B a bath but don't tell her....she will hide from me. If she would just stop laying in the dirt outside she wouldn't need one. She does this to herself!

I do need to do some serious floor scrubbing too.
Hopefully you won't be in too much trouble for giving the pup a bath. I wouldn't be looking forward to it.
From either party.
But aren't they awesome when they are all cleaned and scrubbed and fluffy?
Oh my gosh to the three recipe fails! You need to email me which ones so I can be sure to stay clear!
I feel really badly about those fires, but I'm so glad that they're not immediately by your house!
I have not seen the last twilight. I had a recipe fail off pinterest recently too.
Those fires are scary stuff.....a few years ago when they were so bad around the San Diego area it was really bad for my grandson's asthma!
Like I told you on Facebook, be careful with those knees! I've been having a lot of trouble with one knee and I spent hours painting a sealant on my grout.... What is the machine you have? I'd love to have a commercial tile scrubber!
I've had a few Pinterest fails myself......but the chocolate chip cookies were wonderful!
Seems kind of early for a fire; hope that doesn't mean it will be a long season. But today's weather was gorgeous here; I'm sure the same for you. Please, 298 days until Christmas?? I still haven't recovered from last year's!
betty
Wow, that's an impressive amount of smoke from that fire!
I was thinking about you when I heard about the fires today glad you are okay... Have a great weekend
Well, get ready for Season 3 of Downton Abbey. It's something else!
So impressed that you get down on your hands and knees to scrub floors. WOW! hats off to you!
Enjoy your weekend!
Can't wait to watch the last Twilight movie....oh stinks about recipe fails....I pin a lot but make very little! Love your view. Have a great weekend!
I had not heard about these fires. I'm so sorry---I hope they stay away from you and yours! Tucker needs a bath too. But, as with Skye, don't tell! :)
I too need to do some grout scrubbing this week...it's March (holy cow) I guess I could start my Spring cleaning eh?
I hadn't watched Downton Abby until about 2 weeks ago. Watched Season 3 on Demand and decided sheesh...I need to see How this show started! So, I borrowed my Granddaughters Kindle Fire and watched Seasons 1&2 on Hulu!
Bring on Season 4...Lol.
Enjoy your weekend!
I love your little Tidbits of info. So you are counting days until Christmas - you are so cute. So you have some movies to watch. I talked to my sister today and she said that it was almost 90 degrees out there. Thanks for the recipe sites. Hey do you have a good one for salsa - I need to make one in March for a party. Love, sandie
I am so glad it's March, but I can't believe how fast 2013 is flying by! It's crazy!
