2. Your favorite fall fabric-denim, flannel, tweed, corduroy, tartan, polar fleece, leather? Do you own something made with your favorite fall fabric?
I have to say that I love flannel and we actually use flannel sheets all year long. I also like denim pants in the fall.
3. According to Everyday Health here are ten healthy fall foods- apples (flavonoids may improve brain health), pears (for heart friendly fiber), cranberries (helps your body fight oxidative stress) winter squash (for eye health), pumpkin (another great source of Vitamin A), leeks (an anti-inflammatory food), brussel sprouts (full of fiber and anti-oxidants), sweet potatoes (loaded with Vit A and C), parsnips (keep your bones healthy with Vit K), and broccoli (may help prevent cancer).
How many on the list do you eat on a regular basis? Which one is your favorite? Which one gets a big no thanks from you?
That's a great list. I need to start eating some of those. I do love pears, sweet potatoes and broccoli. A big no would be leeks and parsnips.
4. Tell us about the last time (or a recent time) you experienced a wave of nostalgia?
It's our Google Nest Hub in the kitchen. I believe I experience it almost everyday. I have it filled with nostalgic photos. The ones I love the most are at the cottage my dad had at Huntly Lake, Illinois. So many beautiful memories were made there with our kids and my sisters kids.
Sadly, since we moved to California after Mark and I got back together, the cousins don't have that connection anymore. My sister Darcy and her husband Bob ended up moving to Florida and were near my Dad. I will share photos in the random thought.
5. Sept. 22nd was National Daughter's Day. Like mother, like daughter...does this idiom ring true for you? You may answer in terms of your own role as a daughter or, if you have daughters, then your role as a mother of daughters.
I'm going to say yes to that. I'm going to go with both. My Mom and I, as I aged were very much alike and I have to say that Amber sadly took after both of us. We all suffer from depression which is really sad. I certainly didn't know this early on in my life but I can definitely see it now. Amber has taken control of hers and is doing well.
6. Insert your own random thought here.

all the photos here certainly say nostalgia with no words needed. I do feel that when I look through my albums of old photos. most of the family Fotos are in Augusta GA in a trunk.
I used to wear a lot of flannel, but not in the last 40 years, FL is not a place for flannel. I have seen a few flannel shirts in the mens dept
Hi, thank you for sharing the photos. :-)
We love our flannel sheets too.
Carla
I don't think I've ever tasted parsnips! Love me some broccoli and I'm TRYING to enjoy brussel sprouts. NO to swet potatoes.
Great glimpses of your family 'back when.'
