3. December 9th is National Christmas Card Day. Do you still send Christmas cards? If so does yours include a photo or is it a more traditional card, or maybe homemade? How do you feel about the tradition of exchanging cards at the holidays? If Hanukkah is the holiday you celebrate in December do you send cards to mark the occasion?
Yes, I do send out Christmas cards. I have included a photo a few times but usually it's a traditional card. I like sending and getting cards.
4. What's your least favorite holiday related task? What's your favorite?
I can't say I have a least favorite but this year it has been very difficult to decorate because of my lung issues and now some leg issues again.
However, I am trying my best to do more than last year. I would like to do some baking but not sure if I'll be able to.
5. Let's do a little holiday this or that?
- shopping or wrapping - I like wrapping presents
- baking or decorating - I have always enjoyed doing both
- eggnog or wassail - Eggnog
- real tree or artificial - Real is nice but we have an artificial tree now
- turkey or ham - Turkey, however we have been blessed to go to Adam's on Thanksgiving. We will be having Adam, Gabby and James over for some prime rib the weekend before Christmas. I'm not that into ham but I will eat it
- white lights or colored lights - I like both, however our tree has white lights
- ugly sweaters or matching PJ's - I like PJ's
- peppermint or cinnamon - I like both but probably cinnamon more
- presents Christmas Eve or presents Christmas Day - We will open presents at Adam and Gabby's on Christmas Day
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We saw Adam, Gabby and James on Saturday evening. Their house is decorated so nice. I should have taken a picture. We played some Bunko too.
Several years ago Mark gave me a Lego Gingerbread house which I never did put together. Lego is now James' favorite thing to do. So we brought it there a week ago and they finished it so I took it home on Saturday.

I love a real tree too but years ago found it was much easier for me to do an artificial one.
Love that picture of all 4 dogs looking out the window. That would make a good Christmas card.
I love that dog photo! Hilarious!! I hope you enjoy the holiday season and find joy in what you're able to do and then let the rest go. Thank you for the card : ) I just mailed mine yesterday.
Ooooh I love the pic of all the dogs. Your gingerbread house is wonderful, and even more special because James was a part of building it!
I love the dog photo, that could be a Christmas card photo. ;-)
I also love the idea of having prime rib for Christmas. YUM! We did treat ourselves to prime rib in 2023, it was the first time for us to make it at home, it turned out excellent.
A Lego gingerbread house - what a delightful gift made even more so by James putting it together. I loved Gabby's photo of the dogs, too. Precious! Hope you get to feeling better, dear Debby. Blessings!
I love the photo of the dogs -- so cute!!! I'm sorry you have not felt well and have been limited in your activities.
The dog photo is almost as cute as the one of James. I hope you can do everything you want to during the holidays. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
you have made my day with that last photo. love love love it.. so precious.. good job on them putting that house together for you..
You do like cooking and decorating. I know it is hard to do both when you can't breathe.
James is so cute and so blonde!
Okay that last photograph is just AWESOME!
Oh that photo of the Doggies in the windows is priceless.
Sorry your issues have slowed you down. Prayers continuing for a return to health.
I do love a real tree but we have had an artificial one for years. It sure has saved us a whole lot of money in the long run.
My Mom used to make a prime rib for Christmas dinner but at the cost of it now, I have never made it. Good memories though.
Love the Lego Gingerbread House. How clever and of course James in the picture makes it all the better.

Those 4 pups at the window are so endearing! What a handsome young man James is becoming!
I agree with Carla, that dog picture would make a great card. Waiting for Santa! I love that Gingerbread Lego house. I almost got it and didn't. I did get some gingerbread men Legos last year. My whole kitchen is decorated with gingerbread. Our main tree is all Disney. I am glad you have been able to do a little more this year. I hope to start my cards tonight. I am going to Disneyland tomorrow. It should be little cooler. I don't mind 70's but 80's is to warm for December. At least it won't be raining like it was the last time we went.
That picture of the pups melted my heart and made my day! ❤️
A Lego gingerbread house, what fun. Sounds like a fun time with your kids and James. That photo of the 4 dogs is hilarious! Love it.
We used to have a real tree every year but have artificial now. That is a fun Lego set. I have started collecting gingerbread decorations.
