1. What's one thing on your to-do list that you want to get done, need to get done, or that must get done before the year ends?
Well it has been hard for me this year but I did get the Christmas tree done. I'm not putting out a lot but trying my best. I do need to wrap presents too!
2. December 17th is National Maple Syrup Day...are you a fan? Do you like maple flavor in other food items such as candy, cookies, donuts, oatmeal, hot toddies, coffee?
I like maple syrup but don't use it very often. I can't say that I remember that flavor in any of those other things.
This year they've named The AI Architects as their 'person of the year'. What say you? Is this a good choice, an obvious choice, a logical choice? Who do you think should have been named person of the year?
I say no to that. I don't like AI, I don't use it and I'm very concerned about James' life with that in it. I can't really think of anyone or can't say who I would like it to be.
4. What's a city, state, or country you've visited that you never care to visit again? Tell us why.
We certainly don't like going into Los Angeles. Right now I would say because of all the homeless people.
5. Next Sunday (December 21st) marks the first day of winter (or the opposite if you're living down under). What's one thing you love about this new season?
For us our weather gets a little cooler but we have some good weather year-round.

I love your tree, Debby, and seeing James' sweet smile. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Merry Christmas Debby,
I like your poinsettia, so bright and cheery.
Love the photos of James. :-)
My favorite chocolate as well. I remember when it was not nationally known as it is now. I like Sees, too. I remember when that was just local too! Dang, I'm old. Lol. Always nice to see James smiling face! Your tree is perfect. Remember, less is more.
Your tree looks so lovely. I'm glad you were able to get it decorated. Enjoy wrapping the presents! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I love that poinsettia! It's such a deep, vibrant color. Your tree looks nice. I don't do Christmas trees any more. I'm afraid "Simplify, simplify" is my motto. Love, hugs, and prayers. ❤️
Your tree is beautiful, Debby!
I understand your concern re. AI as far as James is concerned. Thankfully, I'm sure his parents (and grands) will shepherd him in the right direction until he's old enough to make his own informed decisions.
Love all of your answers Debby. I am so glad you were able to get that beautiful tree done.
Of course James is a sweetheart. I like the picture of him at Pier 39.
AI is scary to me too. Its getting more and more difficult to know whats really real.
I think that saying AI Architects is the person of the year is just plain stupid. So unreal.!!
Hope you have a good week and your heart will be ready to celebrate the Reason for the Season.

Hi Debby, I agree on how AI will affect the grands. I was in SF in 2018 and had a blast. Maybe because I was with my cousin and we walked for 8 miles. Went on the bay cruise and the chocolate place and more. Had lunch in China town. We rarely go to LA because of the traffic to get there. Homelessness in everywhere but worse in major cities. James looks so cute. I am so glad you got your tree up and it is so pretty! Merry Christmas! Hoping we can meet up in 2026.
I am so happy for you to have gotten your tree put up! I know that was a big accomplishment for you with all you've been going through lately health wise. And I love the poinsettia too! Love seeing James always...he's such a cute young man!! Growing up so quickly, as they all do. I enjoyed your answers, and don't worry about getting around to everyone. Everytime I think I've gotten caught up, I look and there's so many more to read. I can't keep up with everyone, but I do the best I can! And I am thankful for those who find time to read my posts too, but I know we are all so busy this time of year. I feel like I am playing catch up on everything!! Merry Christmas to you and yours.
What a pretty poinsettia. That was a nice surprise
I like your tree. I don't care for AI either. I heard San Francisco has a lot of homeless people too. That was a pretty poinsettia - a nice gift from Mark.
We have some lovely poinsettias on the altar at our church, but I don't have any in the house this year. Yours is so pretty! I'm glad you got your tree up and decorated and hope it brings a smile. Merry Christmas Debby!
j have nothing on a to do list that needs to be done by End of year, other than Same old daily stuff. your tree is gorgeous, I know that took a long time to complete and glad you could do it. gorgeous poinsietta . I eat maple syrup almost every day, it is the only sweetener I use that is IBS friendly. I make granola with whole oats, pb and syrup, and the only thing I have not tried is in coffee, I might try that. I have never had a hot toddy, so none in that one
I am right there with James and good chocolate.
Your tree is very beautiful
