Linda would love to meet you.
1. Have you ever been so lost that you were really afraid?
Yes, many years ago I was driving to Florida with a girlfriend. We got off on an exit and we were on a street that was very, very scary! I can't even remember how we turned around to get back to the highway. Thanking God for that one.
2. Have you ever been to an island?
Yes, there is an island in Florida called Caladesi Island. It's not very big.
3. Are you more of a thinker or feeler?
I have to say thinker ~ I am an OVER thinker.
4. Do you tend to see issues or situations in life as black and white or shades of gray?
Many shades of grey.
5. If you were stuck on an island, what book would you hope to have with you (Let's pretend the Bible is already there, so you can't say that.)
I think I would like to have my Academy Award book so I could remember and relive all the movies I have seen.
6. What are you most afraid of?
The death of my children and other loved ones in my life.
7. Would you rather lose all of your old memories or never be able to make new ones?
I have some beautiful memories of my children but I also have limited memories from my childhood and some really bad memories too. I am going to say that I would rather lose my old memories.
8. Pretend I'm looking at a scrapbook page about you. There are three spaces for you to drop in individual pictures. What are those pictures of, and why did you select them?
A picture of me at the beach in Florida when I was in High School. I was in a red bikini and I looked like a model. A picture of me across the table from my husband on our honeymoon and it was a sweet moment. A picture of me and my father as he walked me down the isle for my wedding. Best picture I took that day because it was real, I didn't pose for it. I feel like I am being very selfish her but it was supposed to be about me, right?
9. If you were re-doing your wedding, what would you do differently? (If you're single, tell me one thing you would do if you were planning a wedding OR huge party.)
I can't think of anything I would have done differently. It was a wonderful day. My parents gave me a budget and we tried to stay within it because we had bought a townhouse to live in. Wedding at church, dinner in the church basement and big party at my parents house. People actually stayed until 3:30 in the morning so I know they were having fun! We of course left for our honeymoon hours earlier. OMG I forgot about Mackinac Island (question #2) in Michigan, we honeymooned there. Yep, we even toured Kellogg's in Battle Creek, MI.
10. Tell me one thing you know/believe about forgiveness.
It takes the weight off your chest and gives your mind freedom.
11. You're waiting in a doctor's office. What is your favorite way to pass that time?
I am a people watcher and if I am waiting you can be sure it's pretty crowded.
12. If there were a clone of you in a parallel universe what is one way you hope she/he would be the same as you and one way you hope she/he would be better?
I would hope that she would have a heart filled with compassion and that she would be able to control her eating :) I think she would be happy with both of those.

1. I got lost in London once. I hadn't had my licence or my car very long and was taking my sister back to her hotel. After I dropped her off, I tried to get back to the motorway and was convinced I was going the wrong way! It took me over three hours in one way streets, many times restarting my car and a massive panic attack (my first and hopefully my last ever)in front of the Ritz to finally get me unlost. The Ritz has a special place in my heart!
2. Islands? Great Britain, Ireland, Tenby, Texel, Schiermonnikoog, Ameland, Vlieland, Capri, Sicily (where I lived) and probably many more I forgot!
I think it's great that there's nothing about your wedding that you would change..to me that's the way it should be! I have a sister that used to live in Battle Creek...her husband used to work at Kelloggs! I checked out the Carbon Neutral Button...very cool!
Great "getting to know you" post again! And I love the Color-square-collage of Skye!
I am with you on #3 I am an over thinker too. Sometimes you can think enough to leave you more confused then you were to begin with.
Mackinac Island is beautiful isn't it? I was there once when I was younger. Rich and I wanted to go there for a day of our honeymoon too, but we got married too late in the season and the island wasn't 'open' ;-)
Great answer about forgiveness. It's so fun to see the different directions people take with the questions. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD
I totally have a long story re: #1 and it was just last year. Sad thing is it was in an area I used to know well. And I am so with you on #6. The thought of losing my son haunts me sometimes.
it is hard to forgive, but once achieved the goal, it is an amazing relief...
beautiful message from a beautiful soul!
blessings for you.
I like watching people, too. I used to do it all the time when I was in college.
Forgiveness? That's something I'm still working on.
I loved it!
Now I want you to post those 3 pictures.
Your dad, you in a bikini and your hubs on your honeymoon.

I overthink too but I do it with feeling : )
I'm thinking you need to post your pictures !
I like all your answers. i think you have a lot of wisdom.
I'll just ditto Brandy's comment!
Loved all your answers especially your scrapebook favorites. Such sentimental value in each one comes across in the way you describe each one.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
What fun answers. I am a people watcher also! Thanks for sharing.
until next time... nel
Love your random dozen. It helps us to get to know you better. Now, if I could take the time to do the same, it would be great. No time at the present though.
Great Random Dozen. I was lost once, I was to young and stupid to know to be scared, but luckly all turned out ok.
Enjoyed reading your dozen today!
Fun random dozen
I am so a people watcher too :)
Random Dozen is always such fun and the answers are, well, so random! Enjoyed your answers today and you have a lovely blog design. Blessings to you for the remainder of this week!
Debby,
I loved your answer about the 3 photos you would choose. Photos bring back and solidify moments we don't want to forget. And it's ok for them to be out Y-O-U!!
Good answer!
People watching makes me think of that 80's stalker song, "I always feel like somebody's watching me . . . "
Great answers!
Congrats on your tree. I love the different colored pictues of Skye on your side bar. I am so a people watcher.. I really have not been to a cool beach just yet.. Have a great day..
great answers.. though i laughed at number 5 cause i would like that too!!!
Great answers!
I have lived in Michigan most of my life and have yet to visit Mackinac Island. It always seems to be a holiday weekend when I'm available to go and that's the last time to be on the island.
My husband's family lives in Battle Creek, but I've never been able to go on a factory tour.
Both of these things are on my list of things to do :)
Deb, I've never been to Michigan, but have seen beautiful picture of the Island. Would love to visit there. I'm also a BIG people watcher. When Rick and I go to Wal-Mart, I sit in the car and enjoy all the people going by - some funny, some weird, etc. You and I could sit and have fun together.
We are so alike I'm a overthinking too and love to people watch :)
Great answers, Debby! And the Fl ones are all so familiar....Christine
