1. March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's birthday so I'm wondering...do you like green eggs and ham? Okay-how about this instead...how do you like your eggs? Or don't you?
No green eggs and ham for me. I like my eggs over easy. Actually I like eggs in most forms they are cooked in.
2. Is March coming in like a lion or something less ferocious where you live?
Well it was raining in Florida yesterday, not sure about California.
3. Do you work better or worse under pressure?
I would have to say better under pressure but under pressure is never fun! It is usually under pressure because I procrastinate!
4. March Madness-are you a fan? It's college basketball in case you're wondering. And if you're outside the USA tell us-is there any sort of 'madness' taking place during March in your part of the world?
No.
5. Under what circumstances do you do your best thinking?
I usually do my best thinking in a quiet car while I am driving. Since I don't really leave my house much I would also say the shower and sometimes in bed at night.
6. What item of clothing from your wardrobe do you wear most often?
Probably my robe!
7. Do you use sarcasm?
Yes I do!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I do not know about the entire state of Florida but here in the area where my family lives they do not recycle. A few churches have things set up but my family doesn't participate. It is driving me crazy knowing that all these items are just sitting at dumps that will never break down. Seriously I am struggling with this. At home we have so much recycling that it outweighs the trash each week.
P.S. I am here until Saturday evening. My husband comes in tonight for two nights and then he heads to Orlando for next week business. We have a family dinner tomorrow night with all 12 members of my family who live here.

It must be a Florida thing because where my dad spends the winter, they don't recycle there either. DROVE. ME. NUTS. when I was there ... I kept looking for a recycle bin for my soda cans!
No recycling? In this day and age? Incredible...
Good morning, Debby~
It is a "requirement" for all those living within town limits here. You have to pay a monthly fee for trash pick-up and you get three recycle bins included in that. Out here in the boonies, it is not required, but we do it anyway. And like you mentioned, out bags of recycling, far outweigh our trash!
Every little bit helps!
Blessings~
Laura
I've been thinking about you, and wondering how your visit in FLA is going!
Recycling must be practiced a lot more in the north than the south. We don't recycle much here (in GA) either. I suppose the larger cities might recycle more, but here in the country--not so much. There are no bins available here. We burn what we can, then send the rest to the landfill :(
Where i lived in FL we recycled, I think it's crazy places still do not recycle. Enjoy your dinner!
I'll add my area of the South to the non-recyclers. When we lived in NC, you put it out with the trash at the end of the driveway and a different truck picked it up. Wish they'd do that here.
I love sunny side up eggs. I hope you have a nice dinner and enjoy your time with your husband. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
I live in the Panhandle, and we do not have curbside recycling. I used to live in Coral Springs, and recycling was big down there. When we moved, I was highly ticked off. However, a few months ago, I found out that there is are recycling bins at a local park, so now I save my stuff and take it once a week.
Perhaps your area has a place like mine.
Have a great day!
The family dinner sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you take lots of pictures.
I'm a big recycler, so I can't even imagine! I completely forgot about my robe...I stay in mine a lot, too! So COMFY and WARM!
Have fun at your family dinner!
There is a voluntary recycling program in our town. And our neighbor does scrap metal recycling--he will take our aluminum to Denver for recycling, so we save cans and send them with him about once every three months or so. Saves a lot of the garbage front just taking out the aluminum cans.
Oh it drives me crazy when we vacay in Florida and have to throw away all those things that should be recycled! Just seems like (in the vacation areas anyway) they are so behind!
Enjoy the rest of your vacation.
i love quiet car rides and robes. and i'm not a march madness fan either.
Hope you're having a good time with your dad. I enjoyed reading your answers.
I do quite a bit of thinking in the car too, however I never remember what it is I was thinking about later. :(
Hi Debby,
I like my eggs over easy too.
I also like them sunny side up or poached.
It's kinda chilly here in GA today.
I have a comfy robe that I love to wear when it's chilly.
Oh, no one in our area recycles either and it's such a shame. The city tried a few years back and quit and I'm not sure what happened. But, our trash is full o items that could just as easily be recycled. Shame on us!
Sounds like you have a have quite a dinner planned! Enjoy!
I had eggs today and I had them over medium.
fun answers...
we finally got some recycling here
I swear every one of my answers would have been the exact same as yours. Debby, you are my sistah! (Said in my best Darth Vader voice.) That recycling thing would be driving me nuts, too. We have more recycle than trash every week as well. Still, hope you're enjoying your visit!!!
Wow that recycling thing really surprises me!! It would also drive me nuts as I am on a HUGE recyling kick. I am with you on the egg thing...my answer to how do you like your eggs is YES!!
It looks like it is going to rain here in Cali...but, so far not yet.
WOW no recycling! That would drive me crazy because we have more recycling than trash like you do. Your dinner plans sound fun so enjoy.
I am glad I am not the only one who knows a deadline is due-but puts it off. I do my thinking in the shower also.
It's surprising to hear places don't recycle...I don't even think about it anymore. It's second nature. Enjoy your big family dinner. That sounds like fun!
Funny...if you like eggs any way they are cooked...you should try green eggs and ham...try them and you might like them!! HEHEHE!
We celebrated Dr. Seuss's Birthday in school today- after making green eggs and ham for St. Patty's day last year- I feel like my kiddos are always requesting a 'color' for their eggs... (scrambled).
I can't get over that about the recycling... my mother-in-law didn't recycle when she was staying at our place when we were in the hospital when I delivered Sean... I literally went through the garbage and pulled out what I could- cans, bottles... so sad!
Enjoy the time with your fam!
Hugs-
L
how fun with the family dinner! I bet all will enjoy themselves so much!! That would be hard to not recycle; it comes so easy to us here we assume every state does the same (they didn't in Montana when I lived there, don't know if they have gotten better about it since we left)
betty
Have fun at the family dinner & recycle they do a lot here in Nevada. I like my eggs over easy too.
I use sarcasm too. :)
I always made green eggs and ham for the kids in my class. They ate them, too! I like them over easy!
coming in like a LAMB...its great!
work better under pressure!!!
think best in bed!!
Have fun while you are gone!
Yesterday all of the kindergarteners were wearing their homemade Cat in the Hat hats. Oh they were SOOOO cute! It made me remember my own children celebrating Dr. Suess's birthday a few years ago.
Have a wonderful day!
I thought you would say your birk's most warn item :).
Now I hear spinach whipped in eggs is good, those kind of green eggs I would do :)
Have fun at the dinner! Sounds great!
I had no idea that there were places that did not recycle...
Hope the family dinner is tons of fun! Take pictures and share with us!
No recycling? Really? That's very disappointing.
1. The season of Lent begins on March 9th this year...do you participate and if so, in what way?
I do, this time around I am giving up having a beer when we go out or have company over, uggg. I do Lent for my Jesus for what he did for me and I always try to give up something I love. I love him more so I can and will do it! today is the 9th isnt it, dang. heehee
2. Traditionally pancakes are eaten on the day known as Shrove Tuesday which is the last day before Lent (March 8th this year). So....butter and syrup? Blueberry? Chocolate chip? ewww, no thanks!! What's your pleasure when it comes to eating pancakes?
Never heard of shrove Tuesday but my very fav is peanut butter with syrup.
3. Spring is coming. (It is coming, right?) What's your favorite springtime flower and do you suffer from seasonal allergies? Tulips are my fav too, none up yet and I use to have awfull allergies until I started using a netti pot every day. Been great with no problems since I started doing that.
4. "Our opinion of people depends less upon what we see in them than upon what they make us see in ourselves." Author unknown. Agree or Disagree? Why?

5. Since it's "March" and also the season of Mardi Gras....have you ever been in a parade? What's the best parade you've seen?
I HATE PARADES! My mom made me be a banner carryer when I was in Middle school. its hard to even think about, moving on.....I think Im going to be sick now, giggle
6. You would jump up and down and shout for joy right now if someone told you?_someone wants to buy my big house so I can move into a small house!
