It could be their smile, it could be their eyes, it could be the cologne they are wearing but mostly it's their heart.

Yes I think they both should be part of a well rounded education. But I'm not sure if it should be graded or count against you for graduation. I also think that Physical Education should be a required class for all four years in High School.

Definitely speaking in front of a crowd gets me nervous and flustered. I would love to be able to speak in front of a crowd, it is one of my dreams.

We will be spending this Sunday coming up celebrating Mother's Day. Sometimes it's so hard to get everyone's schedule coordinated! One thing that I have found to be important to me is to never make the holidays hard for my children. I know that I am not the only mom being appreciated that day so I am always willing to celebrate a different day. (However they better all be here on Christmas Day, that one I stay firm on!)
Actually as I am typing this it is actually very fitting that we are celebrating on Sunday. May 6th, 2012 is International Bereaved Mothers Day which was started by Carly Marie Project Heal. Have a happy Mother's Day! I think your attitude about keeping it easy for your kids to celebrate holidays is a good one to adopt. The important thing is the actual time together, not the date so much.

It is funny I have no issue speaking in front of a group of people, but I get nervous in small settings where I don't know anyone well

I like your idea about the holidays, Debby, not to stress the kids; I'm the same way, it just makes things run so much more smoother. Great day too to celebrate Mother's Day (but I'm sad that there are so many bereaved moms). I too think the characteristics you listed for a teacher are very important!

I hope your Mother's Day is a great one....
Since my son has been married, I think he's only been with me once on Mother's Day and I was visiting him at the time. He's always lived miles away. A little acknowledgement is all I ask but I don't let it get to me if I don't get any. Mother's Day is always close to my Mama's Birthday so its double sad for me in some ways.

I so agree about the qualities needed in a teacher and also about including music, art and physical education in the curriculum for all kids.

I agree with you on PE all 4 years....I also agree on making it easy on the kids for holiday...even Christmas for me...as long as I get a special day with them...it doesn't matter which day it is...

I totally agree with you. You can tell so much by peoples eyes. The eyes are the window of the soul in my opinion. Love, sandie
I can't speak in front of crowds either outside of family. As soon as there are more than 2 people that I'm talking with, I tend to back out of the conversation. :-/
Speaking in big crowds does that to me too! It's funny sometimes even in small friend groups I get flustered.
