1. What's something you miss about the 1980's? If you're too young to miss
the 80's how about the 90's?
Well I had some hard times in the 80's with my mother passing away and my husband leaving me but by the end of the 80's we were back together so that was a good thing. I do miss my children being little but that's what grandchildren are for. When we are right in the middle of raising our children we often miss the little things that make them so awesome. I definitely miss the music. I miss my father's summer home near Antioch, Illinois ~ those were the best of times!!!
2. Do you have a library card? If so, how often do you visit?
No I do not have a library card. I just don't read often enough and I happen to like my own new books when I do read.
3. What's the secret to success?
When I find out I will share it will all of you! Okay, all kidding aside I would say it's having a desire and passion inside of you. I don't think success is about money but about being happy with what you do.
4. This is National Backyard Games week...what's your favorite backyard
game?
That would be badminton.
5. If I dropped by today what would I find on your coffee table?
Well I have two coffee tables. On one you would find a square vase with potpourri, two sheep and a woven Christian fish symbol basket. On the other one you will find a basket of special Pine Cones and also our photo album from Chicago October 2010.
6. Do you own a bicycle? When was the last time you rode a bicycle? Is that
something you enjoy?
I do not have a bicycle. Haven't ridden one in about 15 years. A bicycle has been on my gift list for a few years now. I really want one and yes it is something I would enjoy.
7. What's your favorite cheese?
Well I do enjoy Brie and next in line would be Muenster.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I forgot to tell you that a week ago Tuesday I had a wonderful dinner out. It was my first time having Tapas. We went to Sevilla in Riverside and it was wonderful. Phil who is from the UK and works with Mark in the office had his sister Sue visiting him. It was so nice to meet her. It was a very enjoyable evening but I have to admit that I missed a lot of words. I've learned to understand Phil pretty well but his sisters accent is stronger than his. I do love listening to them talk.
My bowling season ended yesterday which means I now have to actually push myself out of the house to do some shopping each week. I guess maybe if I continue to go to see a movie at the $5. Tuesday's I could do my errands afterwards. The show is right by a Trader Joe's so that may be my new Tuesday for the summer. It's also near a newer Target and Amber's Hallmark store so I can stop in to visit with her. So those are some win, win things to look forward to.

Believe it or not, but I've never tried Brie cheese, or Muenster, for that fact. I'm an American cheese kind of gal. It's been a good while since I've been on a bike, too...but I really enjoy it a lot!
Oh I do love Brie and Cammerbert too, sadly it is a pregnancy no no - Im dying for a beautiful cheese platter once this little one arrives.
Hey Debby, have not owned a library card since the 1970's. American cheese is my favorite. And the cheese that has the cow on the package. Cannot think of the name. As a kid my bicycle was my only means of fun and transportation. Blessings.
Well I hope you get your bicycle one day soon!
I hope you get that bicycle!
I have a bicycle and every single time I ride I fall! No kidding....my husband says I have absolutely no sense of balance! I do love to ride though if I could just stay upright!
I just can't say I miss the 80's.....they weren't my best years sadly.
I love Asagio cheese (I hope that's the way you spell it, I'm too lazy to get up and look)
That is so true Debby about so busy raising our children, we do sometimes forget to treasure the times and events; only when they grow do we realize what a great time that was, even the tough days! I too like badmitten :)
betty
Hope you get that bike!
Sometimes I need a little incentive to get out to run errands ... and a new Target would certainly do it for me! ;-)
Yes, I miss the young children of the 80's as well. Those were the best of times, but I'm getting to enjoy the Grans now and they are near the responsibility and a whole lotta fun! :o)
We do not have a Target and I sooooo wish we did. I think I would go browsing every week if we do. So, guess it's just as well that we don't.
Blessings!
Love Brie with Apple, nuts, and honey over it. Hope your bicycle appears someday soon.
I totally agree with you on the secret of success - it's not about the money, it's satisfaction, fulfillment that measures success.
I'm like you with the books too in that I prefer to own the ones I read because I read slow. I've always shopped at used book stores and sold them back as a coupon on more books.
Tuesday shopping trip sounds like it could be fun, especially if there's a $5 movie involved. I'm really not much of a shopper.
Hope you get that new bike soon.
I agree with your definition of the secret of success.
You sound like me--having to push yourself out of the house. It's such an effort to get ready to go out!
Hello great answers. I so love your first one for sure.. I am glad you get to go to Target I so love that store.. Have a great day..
My first post-divorce date was to a Tapas restaurant. Very romantic sharing a meal like that. Too bad he turned out to be a lunatic.
I was in college and then grad school in the early 80's, newly married in the late '80's. I kind of miss the carefree-ness of that decade.
I have a library card and use it quite a bit. I actually borrow movies and CDs from the library.
Miss the music, too. Never tried Brie cheese. Enjoy your Tuesday, whatever you decide to do.
My favorite is badminton too! I absolutely love it!
I know your bowling team is one of your loves and it must be hard to stop in the summer. I love Trader Joe's. Do you have something called Whole Foods there or the Fresh Market. Love them too. Love, sandie
I miss croquet. It used to be my favorite backyard game as a kid. Sounds like you have a good plan for Tuesday's, now that bowling is finished
I love what you said about success! So very true attitude is everything and success like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Glad you had a nice dinner out.
I have a bike and its seat kills my keister.
Hi Debby...me too...I like badminton and bike riding. Hope you get that bike really soon. I love the free feel you get from it. I have to remember those $5 tuesdays......although there hasn't been any great movies worth seeing lately. Hope your day shines out there.
