Love these notes...how do you do that? I used to wonder how my parents could see out of their dirty glasses. Now mine are the same. I don't wear reading glasses. I'm one of the rare ones who are only near-sighted so I wear one contact and it is for distance vision. I do like to wear magnifying glasses when I do hand sewing or machine quilting. Mama Bear
Congratulations on the 3 lbs. off!! Woo hoo! Keep up the good work ... and dear one, 27 lbs. in 22 weeks is *more* than a pound a week ... you're right on track for a healthy weight loss!
Our bodies are designed to hang on to fat stores to guard against the lean times. Especially women, for fertility reasons. So our bodies fight us on weight loss - revving up your appetite when you are in a negative energy balance (you've burned more calories than you've taken in) by pridcung more of the appetite hormones and inducing you to be less active whenever possible. But you are doing it exactly right - you just keep plugging away even when you are feeling stuck. So Yay! for you!!!
Congratulations on our weight loss! You're doing wonderfully. I do understand the plateaus, though. I set out Jan. 16 to lose 60 lbs. and though I would be done by now. Uh - no! It went gangbusters (16 lbs the first month) but then 10 the next - and then 5..... Overall I'm down 40 lbs, but have not lost an once in over 3 weeks.
Good for you for not giving up though. It's hard to keep motivated when you hit one of these spells. But your body will get back on track and I know you'll make your goal.
Thanks for sharing. Always nice when someone else opens up about what you're dealing with.
Congrats on the weight loss!! :) It's a slow process sometimes...but I'm determined to keep plugging ahead. :) Thanks for the boost I needed to keep going.
That is fantastic with the weight loss, Debby; lets hope now that the plateau is over, it stays over for a bit and you can drop some more weight in the weeks ahead! LOL about the dirty counters, but I've heard it happen to others, so I think it is a common occurrence :)
Congrats on the weight loss-every pound counts! I have been doing some deep cleaning around here too. I emptied my kitchen drawers and cabinets yesterday. How do they get so dirty? What a huge job too...I'm playing Bunco today but need to get on with the rest of the house too. I tackled the kitchen first because I knew it would be the biggest job.
When I turned 54 this year, I told everyone that I am 53 and that's how old I am going to stay. I will still have birthdays but I will always be celebrating 53. So there. :) You are doing so great with the weight! I'm still on a plateau. And I don't know what's up with those darn things. I hate them! Keep up the good work! You're amazing!

I think picking an age and sticking to it is a great idea. I have had lots of anniversaries of my 30th b-day

The weight loss is awesome! I'm also trying to lose weight and it's not really going as well as I had hoped but I'm not giving up either! :)
It gets harder and harder to lose, but it does come off if you stick with it and you're a classic example of that. So congratulations on the 27!
