1. Chinese New Year will be celebrated on February 10th, and 2013 is the year of the snake. When did you last see a snake? Are you okay around snakes or do they give you the shivers?
It's been well over a year since I have seen one. I am not okay with snakes at all but especially because of Skye in the yard. I buy Liquid Fence each year in the Spring and we do our perimeter with it.
2. The color red in Chinese culture usually means good luck. Do you believe in luck?
Well I often will say "Good Luck" to someone but I can't really say I believe in good luck. I do believe in Godincidences and our destiny through Him.
3. Sledding-ice skating-building a snowman...if given a choice, which activity would you choose? Which of the three have you done most recently?
I would choose building a snowman. Honestly I haven't done any of them in at least 25 years since we moved to Southern California however we have been in the snow when our children were younger because we are only about 40 minutes from snow topped mountains in the Winter. I just didn't participate in the sledding with them.
4. Ralph Waldo Emerson is credited as saying, "The years teach much which the days never knew." Where have you seen this quote played out in your own life?
I would say with aging this becomes true because of the time that has passed. Often you don't see the bigger picture on a daily basis compared to years of experience. Being with a friend yesterday who has young children it is definitely a fact that when we raise our children and through the busyness of life we don't realize how fleeting those days are.
5. When was the last time you ate a cupcake?
More than a year ago!
6. What's something you can't say no to?
Cheesecake and pizza but I am sure you already knew this about me!
7. Are you a doodler?
Not much anymore since I'm on the computer most of the time but I use to be with pencil and paper. If your talking about other things like a project or housework than it's a big YES!

Amber and I had the pleasure of seeing these cutie pies yesterday. They belong to a dear friend of ours that Amber and I both worked with at Hallmark. Since Amber started working full time, my traveling and just finding a day that worked for all of us it has been over a year since we saw them. It was fun day and had a great meal at Chili's too. We also had some Christmas gifts for them and that is Amber with the boys holding up the indoor snowballs that we bought them for Christmas. So we had a snowball fight in the house!

Indoor snowballs...how neat! I want some for myself! Your answer to #4 is so very true. You just don't realize how quickly time is passing when you're raising your children...until they're all grown up.
I am with you on the snowman, although I would love to go downhill on a toboggan again! The feel of the air rushing past...
Fun answers Deb... Hanging out with kiddos is always an adventure...
I can say no to pizza, but not cheesecake.
I petted a snake about a month ago, at the science museum.
Those pics are so cute. Love the snowball fight idea!
Indoor snowballs? Never heard of them. An indoor snowball fight sounds like fun.
LOL If you ever want to build a snowman just come vist me in mid February! Lots of white stuff here:)
I can live without cheesecake, but pizza is more difficult!
Indoor snowballs? Very interesting!
I could put that definition of "to kill time" on lots of things :)
I don't get pizza or cheesecake often so it is a real treat when I do.
A year since a cupcake! You must have Will Power made of iron!
Good morning! Indoor snowballs sounds fun and something my grands would love. You are the first one so far I've read who is a fellow doodler, haha. Enjoy your day!
Cute pictures. Your answer to #4 is so true and the older I get the more truer this statement is.
Such cute kids! Glad you got to spend some time with them!
I always wondered if that liquid fence worked or not; we had snakes when we lived in Murrieta; not sure about here; I don't venture outside too much :)
betty
I have never heard of liquid fence...but would be willing to try anything. I hate snacks and am deathly afraid of them.
Such cuties! Indoor snowballs? Never heard of them, but how fun!
Never heard of Liquid Fence. Will have to look into that! Maybe that will keep our one snake out of the yard.
As a mom to young ones, I know that I'll wake up one day and my kids will be grown. It's such a busy life with little ones that it is hard to stop and remind myself of that fact sometimes. But I try.
Love your answer to good luck:) Indore snowballs? how fun! Those kids are so precious!

Ok indoor snowballs that is WAY cool!!!
Oh girl we are the same about cheesecake! I'm hoping that I'll be at goal by birthday so I can have a splurge and have a piece!!
I have a big dog, but we still keep an eye on her in the yard. We have all sorts of wildlife and some are friendlier than others : )
Enjoy your day!
Love those indoor snowballs and those kids are sure cute! Liquid Fence is something new to me! I believe in good fortune, but it's something I think comes to people who work for it. And, yes, God has a hand in it as well. I always enjoy learning about you on Wednesdays, Debby! Ann
Invisible fence sounds like a good deal. I would not like seeing snakes in my backyard-ick!
I would like to build a snowman too. And I don't believe in big time luck - but I do think some people are luckier then others. Love, sandie
Oh, we need some of those snowballs. That would be fun, but then Hubby and son would probably get in trouble with them. :o)
Cheesecake and pizza, I agree, hard to say no to those.
Blessings!
Yanno, the "kill time" definition means that for me, reading is doodling! I have lots of waits for the bus or appointments, so I have to have something to occupy my time or I'll go nuts; I have always hated waiting!
What's an indoor snowball? Bet it's something I like better than the real thing. :)
I am not a fan of snakes! I killed a very small one (the size of a pencil) back is September!
Indoor snowball??
Yay, indoor snowballs sound like fun!
