1. It's National Bike Week...do you own a bicycle? When did you last ride a bike?
No I do not own a bike and was secretly wishing that would be my gift on Mother's Day. I have had one on my Christmas List for 3 years now! I don't remember the last time I road a bike.
2. What's something you learned in school that wasn't part of the curriculum?
People are not always who they say they are. I have always been a person who told the truth and was deeply hurt by lies.
3. What's a food you've never tried, but want to try? What's a food you've tried and will never try again?
I can't think of anything I want to try and I am not very adventurous when it comes to trying new things. I guess I could say escargot will never cross these lips again!
4. Have you been more demanding on yourself lately or less? Why? Do you think that's a good trend?
I would say I've been more demanding on myself. For me it's a good trend in my opinion.
5. Who is your favorite book, movie, or TV show villain?
I am sure there are going to be some great answers here. I was drawing a blank so I looked at a list. So with that being said I will say The Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz. I also noticed Kathy Bates from Misery which is a good one too!
6. How concerned are you about identity theft?
I am always concerned and that is why we have LifeLock.
7. I saw this last question on Dawn's blog a couple of week's ago and asked if I could share. Everybody hop over and say hi, but first answer this...would you rather have an ordinary home in an extraordinary place or an extraordinary home in an ordinary place?
I am going to say an ordinary home in an extraordinary place.

I want to wish a very Happy 64th Birthday to my sister Darcy. She and her family live in Palm Harbor, FL close to my dad. I don't know where the years have gone. She is blessed to have 4 grandchildren with the two oldest being 17!
Actually I was telling my dad the other day how blessed he is to have been able to enjoy his great-grandchildren. I told him that at this point I don't have enough years left in my life to ever see great-grandchildren grow up to be 17 since I don't even have a grandchild yet! (do the math) I will be seeing all of them in a few weeks....I can't wait!

I can never come up with a favorite book, movie, or song. Partly because I' bad at that sort of recall and partly because it changes all the time.
enjoyed reading your answers and finding out more about the real you.
i like an ordinary home in an ordinary place for me.
my favorite movie and one that i have seen more times than i can count is Witness with Harrison Ford. 2nd is Lethal Weapon and all the ones after. i love action movies... think Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, i love things that go boom....but not super hero movies. as in batman or superman
i've not ridden a bike in probably 25 years. i tried riding around dallas and it terrified me. as a teen, i hit a sidewalk edge and smashed my chin to the pavement. couldn't get past that fear.
Go to Target and get yourself a bike my goodness you can ride 365 days in sunshine. Happy Birthday to your sister. I love Kathy Bates in Misery she was the best! Escargot never ewwww!
Happy Wednesday!
Eeww- I don't think I could try escargot once ;)
I find myself having to pull the reigns on me because I can be too trusting. I expect everyone to be honest because I'm honest.
Hehe...we've had similar experiences with snails...
I do seem to be the only one (so far) that want's to live in an ordinary old metropolitan area!
I forgot Kathy Bates on Misery - that was a good one! I agree about a regular home in a spectacular place. Happy birthday to your sister. I haven't rode a bike in a long time either Debby! sandie
Happy Birthday to your sister
Great answers for villains!
I just know one of these days you're going to get that bike (and a grandchild, too!) Never give up hope :)
A bike has been on your list for 3 years? Time to go get yourself one. You live in a sunny state, you can ride all the time. Go - shop-enjoy.
I liked Wicked because you saw the Witch from another angle...kind of a reminder that sometimes nasty people are that way due to life's rough road.
Enjoy time with your family!
Oh I hope you get a bike soon!
You asked about my camera setting. I'm embarassed to say I don't know the different settings and just use auto settings. That day I used my telephoto lens and edited the pics using the filmstock option on picnik. Hope that helps!
How wonderful that you'll be with your dad on his 90th birthday! I will mail a card for him to you!
Hi Debby! I love Kathy Bates in Misery too. she did a good job, such a good actress. Escargot is one of my favorite appetizers. I am in FL, in Hudson right now until,June 7 then going to Cape Coral for a week before going back to MS on the 17th. When are you coming to FL?....Christine
I know how your Dad feels as my Mom and Dad will have 12 great-grandchildren by the end of the summer. I hope I can be around to see my greats as I have 6 grandchildren now! Happy birthday to your sis
Thanks for visiting. I appreciate your support and prayers!
I couldn't think of a villian either!
Blessings to you Debby....
I think I want a bike too! But I would need to buy two bikes, because I'm not riding alone. And then, I would have to find a partner....blah,blah, blah! LOL I do think if I had two bikes, my kids would sometimes ride with me. :)
Not sure why I miss wednesday hodgepodeg so much. Here are my answers :)
1. Been a really long time since I got on a bike - unless you count the stationary one that I sold a few years ago.
2. I like what you said about people not always bring who they say they are.
3. I will probably never east oysters even though I like clams and mussels.
4. Retirement has allowed me to slack off and give myself needed breaks.
5. Hard to beat the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz. Mostly I like my villians to be characatures but I did think Heath Ledger was great as the Joker.
6. We have insurance that protects us as much as one can be protected.
7. Ordinary home in an extraordinary place. Like one in California. :)
8. My grandchildren are a source of great joy.
What a neat idea about sending cards to your father. My mother will turn 93 on Wednesday. Maybe we should get them together. Mother likes younger men. Ha. Jody the Medicare Mom
