1. My sister is celebrating a birthday today. Happy Birthday little sis! What's one way you're like your siblings? If you don't have siblings how are you like your lifelong best friend or cousin?
Happy Birthday to your sister! I do have siblings, my brother and sister are both older than I am. We are all creative in one way or another, otherwise we are all very different.
2. What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of yourself at age eighteen
Cute, bubbly and funny...... I had a lot of friends, but certainly didn't know myself at all.
3. Sculptor-actor-painter-dancer...if you could excel in one of these arts, which would you choose and why?
I'm going to say a painter because I am in love with Watercolors right now, however I have no talent at all. Close runner for second would be an actor!
4. What's a scent that takes you back in time, and where does it take you?
Probably burning leaves, it takes me back to when I was young and we could burn leaves at the curb. The other thing would be the smell of rain, reminds of the days spent at my parents cottage near Antioch, IL. I was already older but a summer rain with the windows open is just the best!
5. November is for Peanut Butter Lovers (National Peanut Butter Lovers Month). Are you a lover or a hater? What's your favorite dish/recipe that calls for peanut butter?
I am a big lover of Peanut Butter! My favorite is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I don't have a favorite recipe but PB Blondie's are pretty good!
6. What do people thank you personally for most often?
My words of advice and compassion. (That does not include my immediate family, they don't care for my advice!)
7. What event this year are you most thankful for?
My dad's 90th Birthday party and getting my family to Florida to be there for it. Also the fact that the cousins and great-cousin hadn't been together in one place at the same time in 20 years, that was so awesome and the best ever!!!

Only one missing was my brother!

we both live on peanut butter, never a day passes that we don't eat it at least once a day.
my kids ask my advice AFTER they make the decision
PB Blondies looks sound yummy!
I so love the cartoon!
Love that comic. Too true.
It is always great when family gathers for a special occasion. How wonderful to celebrate your dad's 90th birthday. He looks so happy! Have a great day!
I couldn't agree more with your random thought cartoon. If the stores would follow the same idea!
Burning leaves... the BEST SMELL IN THE WORLD to me!!!!
90! That's awesome!
I love Reeses too. I have a funny story about that coming up soon.
Oh my that cartoon with the turkey and Santa was too funny. You and I are reversed on the actor/painter one. Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for the laugh.
Love the turkey cartoon. I agree! Wait your turn.
I do love each of the seasons.
I don't think I remember me at 18. I know I was once, but it seems like eons ago.
Your dad is a handsome man. I bet that was a special get together.
There is NO way your dad could be 90! He looks fantastic! What's his secret? Do tell! Oh, my goodness...your Christmas countdown widget has me so stressed out! UGH!
I'm glad your family could be with your dad to celebrate his 90th birthday, too. As time goes on, you'll become even more thankful for that opportunity!
Love your random thought, Debby! So true, too!
LOL love that sign at the end!!! It is so irritating that Christmas now seems to start in October?
the turkey is so right!!! I wish I was a dancer....but atleast I get to be around a lot of them...I always loved smooth peanut butter....I don't eat it anymore....peanuts aren't Paleo...
I agree 100% with that turkey!!
I prefer creamy peanut butter. Love it in celery. And I wonder why I am shaped the way I am.
Isn't that the truth that our family doesn't take our advice? I'm a lover of peanut butter too. Good to include the cartoon for us to remember Thanksgiving does come before Christmas :)
betty
Congratulations and Happy Birthday to your handsome dad. What a milestone. So glad you could all be there for this special event.
Ha-love that cartoon : ) And what a wonderful event to celebrate. How lucky you are to have your dad in your life still.
Your Dad looks great! I hope my dad is as happy and healthy when he turns 90!
Reese's peanut butter cups are my favorite, too. :)
Peanut butter shouldn't be used in anything else than peanut butter. Crunchy of course, otherwise your whole mouth is covered with a sticky substance that is very difficult to get off!
I agree wholeheartedly with the turkey. Christmas comes way too early! Mind you, I have been watching Christmas films for about a month now. But then again, I have so many, I need to watch them at some point!
So glad most of the family was able to get together for your dad's birthday. 90 years old. That is awesome!!
As I get older, I see the value of not smashing all the holidays together at this time of year. My husband appreciates it:) I really love Christmas, so it is hard for me to not want to join in on the early Christmas celebrating! Enjoyed my visit here today!
Great cartoon...and so true!!
oh Reese's PB cups are my favorite chocolate treat on earth! :)
I knew you would pick your dad's birthday. cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
I LOVE peanut butter and Reese's peanut butter cups.
Your dad is a handsome man.
And yes turkey before Christmas.
sandie
Love these Debby! I can sure relate to not know myself very well when I was younger. Took me a long time. And I might steal #8. ツ
How wonderful to be able to celebrate your dad's 90th birthday! Love the cartoon.
What a fun post! And your dad looks amazing for 90 years old. Loved reading all of this!
the smell of grass takes me back in time - reminds me of my dad
I have eight sibs. And friends who are like brothers and sisters to me.
As for peanut butter, I like it okay - I don't love or hate it.
I'd choose dancer. Maybe because my daughter is taking dance, I think it would be neat to know how :-)
I just made the Peanut Butter Blondie recipe again you shared a couple years ago! I made them for my husband's 'Opening Day Eve' party (Deer hunting party).
