So when Amber and I went to the Safari Park we had a pretty fun day but we also had some moments that were not good. Sometimes we just do not get along but I am forever and always will be a people-pleaser, better know as a helicopter mom!
When we first arrived at the park we had our picture taken together. We only did that once and at the end of the day we went to look at it. They took three poses. I never like myself in photos but I was okay with this one. Amber didn't like this one at all but I told her I would get what she wants.
Of course we were not seeing eye to eye by the end of the day. She said "get what you what" and I decided that since I am paying I will get the one that I want. Boy was she mad at me!
Doctor told us that we wouldn't be able to reason with her until she was 3. After age 3 passed I assumed he meant 30, now I don't know if we ever will be able to....I guess we are too much alike! I'm not easy to reason with either.
I noticed that the guy gave me back the little card and there was a place you could go online to view your photos in case you forgot or changed your mind. This is the photo that she wanted. Sure it is cute but I can't stand my fat face in it.
Well I was able to buy the jpeg for $25. and printed it out at home. I put in in a frame and placed it in her bedroom waiting for her to notice it and when she did she was overwhelmed with joy!!!!!
Of course we could go on and on how this type of parenting doesn't help. (a little late now) I'll be the first to admit that but I still find it hard not to try my hardest to make my children happy.......I'll do anything!!!

I love both photos. And I am glad you got both in the end. One for each.
I was very worried when my mum came to look after me. I knew I needed help, but spending nearly a week with her was something I wasn't really looking forward to. Fortunately we went along great. I think my mum toned down a bit and so did I. Which means the Scottish holiday coming up, should be fantastic! Plus we are not staying at my house, which is a huge bonus!
I like the second shot, it is really good of both of you. i think you suffer from the same thing i do... can't stand photos of ME, Myself or I... they are both good of both of you.. the second one made me smile... good job buying both of them... once in 1985 i paid 5 dollars for a snapshot in a mall in Saint Pete. threw it in the trash. the reason i wanted the photo was they had a baby lion to hold on my lap. i told the guy all i wanted was to hold the lion, he said i had to have the photo.
aww. a sweet surprise for her. :)
I love both photos!! I always go to the theory of "pick your battles". Sometimes mom and I even argue and she lives in Montana. Nothing wrong with giving in to make someone happy if it means that much to them.
Looks like you had a fun day! I love that zoo.
I liked both pictures, Debby. That was good that you could get the other one. You know what, I'm a helicopter mom and I'm proud of it, LOL (do we need a support group??)
betty
Sounds like a good compromise in the end. Cute photos!
Both pictures are adorable! As to being a *helicopter mom* - boy, I sure understand that! It's kind of a joke in my family. Sometimes when I'm talking to one of my sons, one of us will notice that I'm "hovering" - and we'll just start saying, "Whoop, whoop" - (the sound of rotors!!) I have a hard time not (over)doing everything I can to make sure that everyone is OK. Sometimes my "help" is not needed nor wanted, and I have to take some steps back and remember that my boys are grown men.
GOD BLESS!
I'm a helicopter mom too... both photo's are great! Looks like you both won!!
Both pictures are cute! I would have a hard time deciding, but I'd be with you and want the one I felt like I looked better in. ;-)
I can see Morgan and I butting heads one day...I hope not, but we already do at times. It's the 'too much alike' thing for sure! :-)
I love that you did that!,, it's a great picture. We love our kids, warts and all. And they us. Mothers and daughters.... Ann
Great pictures of you both good you got the one you wanted...but Mama you still gave in, don't we all. I would have let her have her way because that's me. I do that all the time.
I do like both of the pictures - the first a little better! Hugs.
The first photo is more flattering, true, but the second one looks like you're both having fun. So I like them both. And I'm a doting mom, too, so I totally get that.

Sweet of you to surprise her - I like "both" photos!
They are both good photos. I know it felt good to give her something she really wanted.
