Volume 231
Welcome back Joyce!
1. When was the last time you relocated? Did you move yourself or leave it to the professionals? Are you happy staying put or is there a move in your future? Best thing about moving to a new city or town? Least favorite and/or hardest thing about moving house?
We moved into our home in Riverside, CA almost nine years ago. It was a 25 mile move with a 5 month stay in an apartment. We used PODS when we moved. We did however get movers to help us move the heavy items on both ends of the move.
I see a move in our future with retirement. We want to leave California and I want to downsize! Best thing about moving is going through and getting rid of everything you no longer need or want. Hardest thing about moving away, especially when we moved to CA 27 years ago, was leaving family and friends besides the best pizza places on earth!
2. When were you last 'moved to tears'? Explain.
I'm afraid I am going through a crying phase so it can be just about anything like "do you want a spoon or a fork?" and the tears start coming......
3. Do you have rules about eating in the car...any forbidden foods? What's the last thing you consumed in your car? Your go-to car snack when traveling long distance?
Never ever do you eat in my car, it would be a rare occasion when that is done. Even my children growing up were never allowed to eat in my car.
We have eaten in Mark's car but mainly on a road trip. We haven't traveled long distance in awhile, or more than 5 hours, but usually a snack bar, nuts or maybe fruit. I think we may have had a Jack-in-the-Box breakfast croissant sandwich back in February.
4. Share a favorite song relating to cars and/or driving.

Fun, Fun, Fun by The Beach Boys
5. What's your most frequently visited drive-thru...Starbucks? the bank? the pharmacy? some other window?
Non of the above. I can't come up with anything. I seldom buy fast food, rarely go to Starbucks and my bank has a walk up window.

6. "He who hesitates is lost"...would you agree? When it comes to making decisions do you generally act quickly or do you more often than not fall into the 'lost' category?
I guess in certain situations that would be true but not in all of them. I have been an impulse buyer most of my life so I didn't hesitate often. I am trying hard not to buy unnecessary things these days because we have too much stuff and want to be a less is more person.
I'm falling into a lost category lately because thinking things out makes it harder for me to make decisions. I spent two hours yesterday buying mattress pads when I should have been in and out in 15 minutes!
7. When was the last time you got lost? Was it stressful or an unexpected happy adventure?
Since I have GPS on the phone getting lost isn't as stressful as it use to be. I can't remember the last time I was lost other than having trouble making decisions when shopping and GPS can't help me with that. Stressful for sure......
8. Insert your own random thought here.

I'm sorry you're going through such a crying phase. Hormones? Good song choice. Love the Beach Boys! Fun songs.
It doesn't take much to bring me to tears either. I hope you're doing well. I haven't been a good blog friend this summer, it has just been so crazy here in real life. Now that we're in the apt. I hope to get into a routine of some sort. I miss my routine!! Enjoy your day Debby : )
Debby, I'm sorry things are feeling tough right now. I think we go through phases, or sometimes something will trigger a memory. I hope the rest of your week goes well... and I promise never to eat in your car. :-)

I like your cartoon in random thoughts! The other hard part about moving up north is finding a good Mexican restaurant. Mexican food was definitely better in SoCal.
Love your answers. I still miss the food from when I left the Chicago area back in 79, you just can't get a good hotdog or pizza anywhere else. lol Sorry you are having a tough time, will be praying for you!
Oh my, the beach boys song was the exact song I was thinking about yesterday when writing out my answers and I couldn't think of the name of it. Too funny - you said if for me. From Hodgepodge
i want to move and have for at least 24 of the 26 years in this house. Pods are the way to go these days, we always used trucks and cars but it was in the same town and coming here was 40 miles.
you will need at least half a dozen pods for your Christmas ornaments.. HA HA Kidding.
Only 4 will do it.
we eat in the car when traveling, but not in town, not because we are not allowed but because it is only less than 5 miles to every where we go, no time to eat. these days it is dangerous to eat and drive for sure.
I am so sorry to read that this is a difficult time for you, my sweet friend. Do you think it is something physical or a rough patch and time? Know I'm thinking about you and wish I could be there to just sit and talk or listen. Loved the poster at the end. I think the older I get, the more I can relate to that.
I understand the crying phase! It MUST be a hormone issue but I sure wish the phase would pass!
Oh Debby, I feel for you! I hope it gets better soon! If not, maybe a visit to the doctor might be in order for a little help until when (if) things settle down.
betty
Fun answers. I kind of want to answer them myself. The "moved to tears" one kind of got me because I VERY rarely cry and normally there are very specific things that might get me misty...almost all of them involving real life acts of heroics and someone putting their life on the line in the name of another's.
Those crying spells are no good are they. I too have them, hope its Hormones.
I even cry while reading.
i hope your crying and indecision passes quickly! :)
I like it! the joke that is...Hope you feel better soon.
Mama Bear
LOL so love the cartoon it so is how my week is going .. lol
You don't let anyone eat in the car? And sorry you are in a teary mood - we go thru that at times don't we? Love the Beach Boys. Really love the cartoon.
I love the Beach Boys. Good song choice.
If you move, are you going back to Illinois? Moving sucks so bad and we have a move ahead eventually because we rent.
Prayers that the tears dry up soon. Chin up Buttercup!! Hope you have a great rest of your today.
I totally understand 'the crying phase'. I went through it not too long ago, when I started reducing my hormones. It does make you think you are going a bit crazy... I hope your phase passes soon ((hugs))
As for thinking more before buying things, I'm working on that, as well. It's tough, sometimes.
Kathy (from Reflections by Kathy)
nice answers.
Sorry you're having a rough time. I hope it's just a phase and you can get through it quickly. Loved the random thought.
