Volume 235
Thank you Joyce.

1. Last thing you did on the spur of the moment?
I guess you could say going to the show on Labor Day. We were going to go on Tuesday but changed our minds. We got ready quickly to make a show time only to stand in line for a very long time for tickets and getting our popcorn. Thankfully we were a little early and there were a million coming attractions.
2. How well informed do you feel about the current Syrian refugee crisis?
Not at all.
3. What have you changed your mind about?
This is nothing new, I've been thinking this way for awhile now but haven't done anything about it yet. I want to live with less and have more freedom because of it. My house isn't cluttered but I have way too many things......
“A house that is cluttered is usually lived in by people whose minds are also cluttered, who need to simplify their lives. This begins with simplifying and clarifying their thinking. Mind and life need to be freed from the ‘disorder of the unnecessary.” by Elisabeth Elliot

4. A medium sized non-poisonous snake found it's way into the pool trap this weekend. If you'd been sitting poolside would you have fished it out? Gone running? Called for help? Pretended not to know? Continued swimming?
I would have gone running but probably would have informed someone about it!
5. September 10th is National TV Dinner Day...what's your idea of a great TV dinner? (Or at least a pretty good one!)
I can't remember the last time I had one. I'm talking decades but maybe a Healthy Choice or a Marie Callender.
6. Samuel Johnson is quoted as saying, "Courage is reckoned the greatest of all virtues; because, unless a man has that virtue, he has no security for preserving any other." Would you agree? Where have you seen that played out recently? What's the second greatest virtue?
I don't think I agree with his quote. I believe in Faith, Hope and Love. I don't have an example at this moment that I've seen played out. For me I would like to say that Patience is a great virtue!!!
7. What are three words you have trouble remembering how to spell?
Coincidence is one but only because I like to use the term Godincidence in many situations and I just have to check that I have it right. I often look up caffeine and spaghetti yet I usually have them right.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Mark is flying to the UK today and will be gone for 10 days. Prayers for his safety would be appreciated. I guess I will just stay at home in this bed and sulk while he is gone.......
Or at least until Saturday because I get to spend the day with Adam and Amber. Picking him up at LAX, going out to dinner and then he will spend the night here in the guest room. So it will be a day with two of my most favorite people in the whole world!

Will definitely say a prayer that Mark's travels will go smoothly. So happy to hear that you'll be able to enjoy some time with your kids!
I just looked up define virtue and it says being of high moral standards. i don't agree with the courage thing either.
I once found a small snake in the pool while bob the snake killer was at work. i did not know if it was posion or not and was afraid Max would jump in the pool and get bit. i beat it to death with a broom, put it in a jar and saved it for bob. it was a common ring snake then i felt bad.
prayers for Marks trip and for you left behind.... about the tv dinners, i don't eat them because to me they are a tasteless waste of calories...
Hi,
I like the word you have as your trouble remembering how to spell and the reason for it. :-)
I'm sorry you weren't able to join him this time, but I will say a prayer for his safety. And you get kid time so yay! That's always nice : )
Praying for a safe trip for him... & you some peace & rest while he is away. I can never sleep when my hubs is away. at least you have something to help take your mind off of it for a bit :)
I would call for help on the snake! lol I love Marie Callenders too - but lots of calories! And I will pray for a safe trip for Mark!
I so want that wine box bed .. lol!
Prayers for Mark's safe travels! Yeah to Adam coming to visit!
i'd have fished the snake out. :)
HAHA I didn't know that about TV Dinner day. I remember that they were such a treat. We didn't get them very often.
LOVE your waterbed. Way to NOT be cheap.
That 'wine bed' is a panic, Debby!
Quite by folly, I discovered Atkins' Beef Merlot (tv) dinner in the frozen foods section. Even DH who doesn't give a whit about dieting likes it - lots.
Holding your Mark in my prayers; it must be difficult to have loved ones travelling internationally these days.
Love that wine bed, LOL :) How fun that you'll have the visit with Adam and he'll be staying with you and Amber! Funny, today is the National TV dinner day and we are having TV dinners for dinner. Hubby has band practice for church and will get home around 8 p.m. Too late to have anything but something light like a TV dinner :)
betty
praying for Mark, and you dear.
Prayers
That wine box bed cartoon is hilarious!
So sorry that you won't be able to go with him this time. I do think that I heard about the National TV Dinner Day. It seems like the there is National Day for just about anything. They advertised on tv that there is a National Cheese Toast Day on the 15th. Go figure!
I need that bed! lol Hope your hubby has a good trip here to the UK - he'll probably complain about all our wet weather. I like your answer about decluttering. I'm a work in progress on that one - house and mind!
