I am trying to get caught up on reading your blog posts since I was gone but it isn't an easy task! If I miss yours I'm sorry.
Was hoping to do a post here today but that's not going to happen. I haven't even downloaded my photos to my computer yet, they are still in my camera. If you follow me on Facebook you saw some photos from my phone.
Let me just say that things have not been good since we have been home and I'm ready to run back to the beach. Your prayers would be appreciated.
What I am going to share is a little post I put up on Facebook last Monday morning. I thought it was kinda funny: (copied from my Facebook page)
"Okay, here is the funny thing that happened yesterday. (not all of it was funny but you'll get a kick out of the ending) So it was a few hours before we were going to leave for Carlsbad, CA. Mark mentioned that they had a lot of rain in Texas and that he should call his mom. I said why don't you call her before we go. He said no I'll wait until I'm outside those stupid shops your going to go into when I'm boarded to death!!!!!
Well you can imagine my reaction to that comment. First of all there are not a lot of shops and we were just going to walk around town, get that out of the way before we checked in at 4 pm and basically did nothing while relaxing and being on the beach, only to leave to get dinner later on in the days we will be here.
So before we left I told Amber what he said to me and I told her I will not go into one frickin store! Well guess what.....when we got to Carlsbad they had the biggest Fair going on I've ever seen. I mean every street in town was closed off, it was street after street, side street after side street of vendors. Couldn't park anywhere but far far away.
Guess what, I didn't need to go into any stores. The whole town was my oyster so to speak!!! We walked for a few hours, grabbed lunch at our favorite place in town and then finished up looking at the streets we missed on our way back to the car. Tell me that wasn't a perfect comeback to his attitude !"
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
