Join in and play along.....
Thank you Joyce :)
1. Share one thing that really makes your day.
Peace and contentment in the hearts of my children.
2. Lots of these kinds of lists out there, but one found here says the fifteen most colorful places on earth are:
Of those listed which would you most like to see up close and in person? Of all the places you've seen or traveled in your own life, what would you say was one of the most colorful?
I'm not sure I could pick. I went to Joyce's link and my heart started racing. I love color, I want to see all of them on the link. I want to see Central Park in the Fall. I'll pick Notting Hill, England just to get me back to the UK. I will say the Aspen in Colorado for something that I have seen that was beautiful because yellow is my favorite color.
3."Everything you want is on the other side of fear." Jack Canfield In general, would you agree or disagree with that statement? Why?
I'm not sure I agree with this statement. There are things I want in life that are not fearful.
4. Imagine you're stranded on a desert island and dessert appears...what do you hope it is? Do you ever struggle to remember which spelling is desert and which is dessert?
Cheesecake! I do not struggle with the spelling now but I did for many years.
5. What song almost always makes you cry?
When Mark and I were divorced back in the 80's I would play this song over and over again. I so much wanted him back in my life.......
6. January is National Soup Month. Everything from soup to nuts, in the soup, thick as pea soup, souped up...which saying most recently applies to your life in some way? Explain.
In the soup. This would go back to my answer for #1 and I will write about it when I feel comfortable sharing.
7. Write a two word note to your younger self. What does it say?
Be strong.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Peace and contentment in the hearts of my children.

I loved having Mark home during the holiday's, he took some extra time off but let me just say that he creates a lot more laundry then going to work and taking his clothes to the cleaners!
For the first time I watched Homeland with Mark. It was Season 5 and I thought it was pretty good. I do not have the desire to go back to watch previous seasons but I will be watching Season 6.......

I always loved Ireland for the colour. Not just of the houses which are the weirdest colours, but also nature. Wild flowers and grass and trees and all: so beautiful.
Thick as pea soup? I want my Mum's pea soup now. That is so thick your spoon will stand upright in it! Yum!!
I haven't had pea soup for years. I love it, but Mr. C hates it. Oh, I should have picked cheesecake. Hard to choose between that and my mom's lemon pie!

Your response to what makes your day just blew me away. Yes, that would absolutely make my day!
Chris was home for about 3 weeks during the holidays and I loved it. Yes, I had more laundry to do, but it was so worth it. We don't get enough time together with him always on the road each week. Good song choice! Enjoy your day, Debby!
i enjoyed the first 4 seasons of homeland, then cancelled showtime so miss it now. cancelled hbo this year so will miss game of thrones, too. :) ah, well.
pea soup sounds good to me!
Great answers! Love the Be Strong! I am following from Hodgepodge. You can follow me back at Annster's Domain if you want. Have a great day!
I liked that Be Strong; wise advice to give to a younger one of us (or anyone for that matter). I have not seen Homeland but did hear good things about the series. I always like to get back to the routine of things, so I would enjoy the extra time hubby might have off for the holidays, but then I was wanting the house back to myself (which I know is not an option for some currently).
betty
I hear ya on the laundry with a husband home : ) Apparently I've commented on it because hubs asked me yesterday if it was okay to put a shirt in the wash-ha! Hope you have a wonderful day Debby!
What a great list of places. Hard to choose, but I'd probably pick Italy.
Hi Debby,
I hear ya about laundry. :-))
#5 made me cry
Sending you a HUG!
Carla
Loved your answers. I hope your day is an amazing one.
"Peace and contentment in the hearts of my children." I have the same answer.
And my dessert is Death by Chocolate cake.
Let me know what's up.
none of these questions pertain to my lifestyle at all, so will comment on the amzing photos of color in the link. truly wonderful colors and photos. just remembered, the comment about the other side of fear is me. it fits me to a t... i have missed so much in life and always will because fear holds me back from doing or trying to do
I loved your answer to number 1....SOOO true and would make my day any day. I know what you mean on hubby's clothes too. I am used to an a pair of jeans and a couple of tees or whatever he has kicked around in on the week-end. But then again it would eliminate the trips to the dry cleaners dropping off things and picking them up, lol.
Enjoy your day...
Amen to number one. Nothing feels better than having my adult children safe and content. Whatever you are dealing with in that area - I hope you are finding strength and peace.
Aw, your song choice made me tear up. That is so precious and of course I am so glad that you got him back in your life! Happy Wednesday :)
Loved your answers.and especially the song choice. I love cheesecake! Have a blessed day.
Be Strong - those are 2 powerful words
Isn't it funny how songs can bring up emotions & a time in your life.
I STILL have a hard time with desert / dessert... isn't it 2 s's is the yummy kind? I always try to think that MORE is better - watch me be wrong on which one that is :) haha
I struggled with the colorful place to be. I felt it depended on the definition of color. I would do anywhere in the fall that would give me the red, yellows, and oranges of the trees turning. Or even the different greens from Scotland. Or the blinding blue of the ocean. Heck, I'll take anywhere but here!Love your note to your younger self. We all need that!
There is nothing like knowing our children are where they need to be and in a good place spiritually and emotionally. That makes my day as well. I can't relate to the laundry issue because Hubby is as close to the house as I am, but we both make our share. And, I am not familiar with Homeland. May need to look that up. Have a great rest of your week.
Yellow is my favorite color, as well! I agree, the Rocky Mountain's aspens are stunning.
PS - Pass the cheesecake and no-one gets hurt! :)
We've watched the first two seasons of Homeland, and really enjoyed them. They're worth watching! We have season 3, but haven't found time to watch it, yet.
I hope you won't stay "in the soup" for very long :)
Kathy (from Reflections)
I hope there will be peace and contentment soon.
Your answer about the different places made me chuckle! I didn't look at the site with them listed for that very reason!
My sister would agree with you about the dessert. I think I might pick hot fudge cake from Bob's Big Boy with mint chocolate chip ice cream! :)
I always enjoy reading your answers to these thought provoking questions. I have a sense of fear about quitting my job and staying home.... something I've always wanted to do. :O
You and I both have the travel bug! So many beautiful colourful places to see in the world!
And my Hubby travels for work quite often. I hate when he's away and can totally relate to the EXTRA laundry that arrives home with him :)
