1. Create an acrostic using the word LOVE. If you're unsure what an acrostic is click here.
Leaves you breathless
Opens your heart to new emotions
Valentine's forever
Euphoric feeling of happiness
2. Does love really conquer all? Why or why not?
I want to say yes because that is what my heart wants to believe.
3. Tell us about a time recently, where you really put your heart into something.
That would be Christmas for me. I always try to make Christmas the best I can. Celebrate like it is your last one!
4. What's your favorite fictional love story?
Not sure I have an answer for you. Looked at a list of the 10 best romance novels and I haven't read any of them. Then I found this list on Goodreads on popular fiction romances. Haven't actually read these either but I have seen the movies.
I'm going to say The Fault in our Stars, The Twilight series and definitely stories my Nicholas Sparks!
5. Do you generally where your heart on your sleeve or keep your cards close to the vest?
Heart on my sleeve.
Leaves you breathless
Opens your heart to new emotions
Valentine's forever

Heart on my sleeve.
6. What food says love to you? Why?
Risotto because I just adore it. I don't make it at home so when I have a chance to get it at an Italian restaurant it is a special treat!
7. When were you last 'tickled pink' over something? Explain.
Good question....maybe at Christmas when Mark gave me our 3 night trip to Carlsbad, CA on the beach.
It is the most perfect week you could have at the beach. 85 degrees, 16% humidity and winds around 6 mph. Absolutely gorgeous.
Things have been extra quiet this week because of Super Bowl Sunday, not many people in town. We head home this afternoon.

good hodgepodge.
I wear my heart on my sleeve, too, Debby. Your trip to the beach sounds glorious...it's in the low 20's here. UGH! Do you know that I've never tried risotto? I'm not even sure what it is...do tell!
If they could suck the fat out of me, while sucking the life out of me, I would be malnourished by now. LOL
is there such a thing as a Scrooge or Grinch for Valentine day? if so that is me. much ado about nothing to me.
Love is putting up with me daily
Oh yes, and i put up with you daily
Victory in love is staying power
Every day for the rest of our lives
Even with all this said i do love a good fantasy romantic story..
my favorite love story is Knight in Shining Armour by Iris Johansen. i think I may have read it about 4 or 5 times over the last 35 years. and guess what? it is scy fy which I am always saying i don't like.
Oh your trip to the beach sounds sooo glorious! I ALWAYS put my heart into Christmas too! Just something about it to me. I found your random thought hilarious! Yes! wouldn't that be wonderful, lol? Enjoy your day!
LOL, I love your random; that would be neat if that did happen. I think I would be at least a size 10 by now :)
Sounds like a gorgeous time the two of you had in Carlsbad; exactly what you needed I bet! The weather was great for that time of year too!
I agree about risotto; it is always so good when I have it out at a restaurant, but we have never made it here at home. Will have to change that down the line I think and experiment making it.
I love the acrostic you made out of the word love :)
betty
I wear my heart on my sleeve too. And chocolate says a whole lot to me!! Happy Valentine's day.
Really love your love acrostic Debby!
Great job on the acrostic and your answer to #2. That's our desire, isn't it. I agree with the Nicholas Sparks stories. They always tell such a sweet love story whether they end the way I'd like or not. Oh my, the beach trip sounds divine! What a thoughtful gift.
So glad you got to go to the beach and have had such perfect weather!
A three-night stay on the beach sure sounds good to me right now, here in the land of neverending ice and snow. LOL Have a wonderful Valentine's weekend.
Your acrostic is wonderful!
I was just glancing at your sunset photo out on FB. Mark's gift was so romantic!!!
i try to keep things close to the vest, but when my emotions hit the surface, i'm all out there, sleeve, shirt, jacket, pants. :)
That's a great acrostic!
Your trip to the beach sounds absolutely heavenly :) What a great Christmas gift!!!

Number 8 would be a winner if possible, I would be skinny. Hope your doing good, take care.
I'm not sure people could suck that hard or that much with me. But I'd sure let them try.
LOL
Great post and I love your random thought. Wouldn't that be great? lol Sounds like you had a lovely destination for your short break.
Are you on good reads much? Maybe we should follow each other?
I am glad you had a nice week for the beach. I don't think I've ever had risotto but want to try it. Have a great weekend :)
Why, yes, it would be nice and the least they could do. 🙂
Risotto? Nope, never have tried any, but have seen it made on tv... creamy rice-like pasta? Must check.
This was a good week for the Hodge Podge!
From my heart to yours, Valentine's blessings.

Risotto is a dish I make for love - it's time-consuming and meditative and always worth it.
Girl we would be very thin if the ppl took the fat too. lol love it!!!!!
