Volume 260
Thank you Joyce!
1. Has spring sprung in your little corner of the world? Other than the calendar how would I know? What's your favorite thing about spring?
Yes but that is a pretty easy task for Southern California. You would know because flowering trees are in bloom all around town.
2. Besides the weather, what's put a spring in your step recently?
Probably some new movies at the show, they motivate me to get out of the house. I know it should be something about the weather here or spring cleaning but after the Academy Awards it is a whole new year of movies for me to judge!
3. How does Easter impact you?
Besides my strong belief in Jesus' Resurrection Easter here for us is a day for gathering to have a family meal. I do love that part of it but it is so different from when I was a child and we got all dressed up to go to church.
4. I saw this somewhere on Facebook and thought it would make a fun Hodgepodge question. Which of the following would you find most disappointing...
a just stuffed taco shell breaking open and spilling out before you take the first bite? dropping a just-purchased Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts coffee? opening the peanut butter jar and finding it empty? upending onto the sidewalk a just-purchased ice cream cone? a burnt bagel popping up in your toaster when you're rushing breakfast? or cutting into an avocado and finding out it's rotten?
I'm going to go with the empty PB jar and the rotten avocado since those are regular purchases for me. The other's are very rare occasions.
5. What's something held together with tape at your house? Or a paper clip? Or a wing and a prayer?
A wing and a prayer would be our sanity most days!
6. Do you feel under appreciated? In what way?
Almost all the time.
7. What's something you'd build if you knew how?
Nothing is coming to mind for me right now......
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Wishing everyone a very blessed Easter Sunday.
On PBS Mr. Selfridge starts this Sunday at 10 pm yet it is not showing up on our Time Warner's schedule yet. Also for those of you who watch Call the Midwife it will be returning the next Sunday on April 3rd.

the ice cream cone would break my heart and I would have to go buy another one right away.
the empty PB job is 2nd and would never happen here, we always have at least 3 jars
I can't think of anything I would build but I sure could think of a lot of things I would BUY if I had the money
I hope your have a blessed Easter as well. Loved your responses....some of them remind me of myself.
I love the family dinner on Easter Sunday too. We are celebrating my mother-in-law's 80th with hubs side of the family this weekend, so my daughter and I offered to make Easter lunch the next day. Hope you have a wonderful weekend with family!
Numbers 5 and 6? DITTO-DITTO (and another DITTO for good measure!)
Wishing you a most blessed Easter!
Nothing worse than getting an avocado, cutting it open and seeing it rotten, especially if you need it for a recipe. I would imagine the flowers in Carlsbad are starting to bloom these days :) So true about sanity too :)
I hope you have a Happy Easter Debby!
betty
Funny how our answers to #5 were so similar. Here's wishing you a BLESSED EASTER, Debby!
Had to laugh at #5. Family meals are always good. Hope you have a Happy Easter, with chocolate! ;)
I always love your HodgePodge posts! Is it OK if I answer two of them myself? (I'm going to anyway, HA!)
So, on #4:
I have had a taco split open. I have also dumped a Big Mac in my lap while trying to eat it while driving.
I have spilled a Starbuck's drink in my car...more than once.
I have opened a peanut butter jar and been forced to scrape out the meager dregs.
I think I've had the ice cream meltdown. And I'm sure I've talked my sons through their own!
I have had burnt toaster bagels, breads, English muffins, and waffles. And taken a knife to shave off the burnt parts. And then told myself that charcoal is good for you.
And I have opened many, many rotten avocados - which is especially frustrating because they're usually quite expensive!!
And, on #5:
I have a long, black skirt that is currently *hemmed* up with several large pieces of packing tape. So far it's working. Just ignore the "crackling and crunching" I do when I sit down!!
And, for the record, I appreciate you!!
Have a wonder-full Easter, Debby.
GOD BLESS!
Oh boy oh boy! Thanks for the heads up. Mr. Selfridge and Call the Midwife. Am also looking forward to Poldark!
I watched Call the Midwife briefly but think I would like it if I watched it regularly. I'll have to remember to look for it. Happy Easter!
Just looked at the movie listings for Monday as a group of us are going...to see Big Fat Greek Wedding or something else.....
We always attend Easter services but may not make it Sunday as Honey Bear and I are going to take a little weekend trip...Daughter is making Easter dinner for us and for once I don't have to bring anything...that's a treat.
Happy Easter
Mama Bear
The week of Easter the saddest and Easter the happiest day of the year. I hope you have a great one.
Hi,
Are you going to go see the Batman/Superman movie?? Be sure to give your review if you do. ;-) I like to share your reviews with my boys.
Thank you for the heads up on Call the Midwife.
We love our family Easter meal too. It is great to have all of us together. We will be traveling this year to my sister's home.
Have a great weekend!!!
Happy Easter,
Carla
Someone said they'd like to build a log cabin. I would LOVE to do that. How is Adam doing?
hope you have a good weekend, too!
I love Mr. Selfridge and Call the Midwife! They are great shows and I can't wait for the new season. Happy Easter to you!
Oh! Thanks for the tip about Mr. Selfridge and Call the Midwife! I love both of those shows and didn't know they were starting up again.
Have a blessed and happy Easter.

I agree on the empty peanut butter jar but I love making guacamole so the avocado must be perfect. You aren't alone on the under appreciated answer. :/ I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend!
God appreciates you.
I keep hearing about Midwife and saying I may have to give it a shot.
