1. What are your ingredients for a perfect Saturday?
Well if they could all be like last Saturday it would hanging out with Adam and Gabby at their house along with their puppy. Of course having Amber and Dylan there would make it absolute perfection!
2. What skill do you wish more people took the time to learn?
This could go in many directions. Driving would be one, manners would be another and compassion would be awesome!
3. What's something you ate as a child you can't stand now as an adult?
Actually I can't think of anything. But in an opposite direction I can tell you that I hated when my mother made meatloaf but I love it now and so does my family!
4. Something parenting has taught you? If you're not a parent tell us one important lesson you learned from your own parents.

How deeply you can love someone. That you would give your life for them. That nothing else matters except for their happiness. And God is good!!

I actually made a crewel embroidery of this saying that hung in the nursery. I still have it!

LOL, I can totally relate to your random thought. I'm the same as you with #3. I'm not a picky eater so there's nothing I ate as a child that I don't eat now, but there are things I wouldn't eat then that I have grown to love.
The first time I ever ate olives I had to spit them out: so gross! My parents had told me my father liked them and our tastes were very similar. Turns out, they lied: my father didn't like them at all! I eat olives now though and quite like them.
I'm not a fan of meatloaf. Every now and then I'll get it right and it tastes pretty good. But usually it's dry and I have to drown mine with ketchup!
i am sitting here now, laptop in lap, when there is much to be done and i have no desire to do it... we ate Tripe a lot, and spam, i don't eat them now.
Happy Mother's day! You had a great weekend - I would add one more thing - slept until 9 or 10. I don't care for meatloaf either. Funny. You have a terrific weekend. sandie
Driving with compassion and manners would be a great thing for a lot of people to learn I think! I do believe one day you will get your motivation to do things, in the meantime enjoy the fact that you can have "idle" days to do with your time what you want to do with it.

Your #4 is so true ... and beautifully expressed! Ditto about manners.
Yes, Yes and Yes on the random thought. Also manners are so important so yes, they have to be taught.
Debby,
My mom made the best meatloaf.
Mine, not so much. It's ok, but not like hers.
I love your Snoopy graphic and the Mom poem.
Happy Mother's Day <3
What skill do you wish more people took the time to learn?
This world will never know peace until it has learnt to forgive.
God bless.
