1. Summer is upon us this week in the Northern hemisphere. Tell us three things on your summer bucket list.
Visiting with Amber and Dylan in Great Falls, MT.
Mark and I starting our new adventure with his retirement.
Our pup Skye visiting with Adam & Gabby's pup Roxy so they can continue with their new friendship. Hoping to get them together at least once a month so it is a gradual change as Skye stays the same size and Roxy gets bigger with each passing month!!
2. Something fun you used to do as a kid in the summertime?
We would go to our grandparents summer home, on my dad's side, in Union Pier, MI. We would walk to town, walk to the beach and get ice cream cones at the bowling alley. My favorite thing was a little store in town and I can just hear the wooden screen door bushing up against the sandy floor.
3. Rooftop or backyard? Why?
I love my backyard but I honestly haven't spent time on a rooftop anywhere. I think I would love that!
4. Do you read food labels? Place importance on them? Make an effort to find out/care about where your food comes from?
Yes I definitely read food labels. I like to know what I'm eating and I check for the fat contents, carbs, sugar, fiber and protein.
5. A song you'll have on repeat this summer?
That's a good question and I'm not sure what my answer should be right now. I haven't been listening to anything in particular lately.
I still like listening to the music from the movie Begin Again. I've downloaded some new music so maybe one of the new songs will be repeated over and over again.

Love the memory of the door.
I ready food labels a lot for Cort since he can't have much (or any) dairy.
Hi, Debby!
I love your answer to the random thought!
I have to say you are braver than me. I am afraid of heights.
Have a great week, my friend!!
Loved reading your Hodgepodge today! The screen door -- yes, I remember those from two little stores of my childhood days. Brings back some wonderful memories!
Have a wonderful week!
That cartoon is too cute! You do have some things to look forward to ahead, for sure. Have a great rest of your week, my friend.
Your random is absolutely perfect for me!!! I am trying so hard to lose weight but I am not cutting back on anything!!!
well phooey on the not retaining water, I just said that at TOPS meeting last week..no summer plans, I do the same thing I did in summer as a child. read books and stay cool. summer is my least favorite of all seasons. I did like to sit in the swing on the porch and read but that is the same thing. great idea getting Skye used to the growing big dog.
Hi Debby...I'm trying to get back into blogging. Facebook, is becoming too political and hateful. Shhh...I'm going to eat a brownie. LOL
LOL with that random thought :) That is an honest doctor, LOL :)
Your bucket list is a great one for the summer! Having Mark around will be like getting used to the kids when they were home for summer vacation. Will take a bit to get into the routine, but it will be a new interesting routine for sure :)
Rooftops scare me so I would have to go with the backyard (with mosquito spray, LOL :)
betty
Love your random. lol You always come up with some really funny stuff!!!
Your childhood summers sound like a movie! Screen doors are so 'Americana'!
I was just reminded the other day, I don't think I've had ice cream in more than 20 years. Must make amends, eh?
Love your memory of childhood summers. Ice cream cones! I never saw a beach until I was married. That graphic is a reminder that I need to do something as I've been enjoying too much cake, cookies, ice cream, etc.
The random thought cracked me up. I'm working on staying away from all that stuff
Your childhood memories are the best. :-)
I love the random .. as always, so fun.
That joke is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny and for me the truth.
Have fun with Mark seeing the kids. You sound so happy - and that makes me happy for you.
What a sweet summer memory! I love old screen doors; I don't know the sound of it brushing on sand, but I do love the old squeak and slam of the doors!
You have the best jokes every week. Thanks for the laugh! I’ve never been to a rooftop party, I would hope that the roof is flat!
testing....

My beloved SWMBO is better at reading labels, checking the same things that you do. I could be more diligent I suppose. I love your Random Thought. Each week they always make me laugh out loud. I hope you and you hubs transition well into his retirement. It is a big adjustment and for me, it took awhile to adjust. Have a great week.
ON my list was to go to the grand canyon this year. Don't know if it is going to happen or not, with the heat and fires going. We haven't yet.
Backyard for me. In fact I’m on the sun porch looking at it right now.
