Volume 358
~Thank you Joyce~
1. What's something in your house you'd like to get rid of but can't?
I can't think of anything specific but as you know I have a lot of things that need to go and it will be hard to part with most of the things I have.
2. When is the last time you experienced a sense of nostalgia? Elaborate.
2. When is the last time you experienced a sense of nostalgia? Elaborate.
Honestly I think about days gone by almost daily. I remember a time when things just seemed easier yet they really were not easier. I miss the days of raising my children. I'd rather be doing that then going to doctor's appointments all the time!
3. You're only allowed three apps on your smart phone or tablet...which three do you keep?
3. You're only allowed three apps on your smart phone or tablet...which three do you keep?
Okay, this is a hard one. I guess I'd like to have my Google Maps, my camera and messages. I'm thinking of things that I would like to have in an emergency.
I could do without my Facebook, Gmail, Games and Pinterest to name a few because they could wait for when I'm on my computer at home.
4. July 11th is National Blueberry Muffin Day. Who knew? Do you like blueberry muffins? If you were going to have a muffin would blueberry be your choice? What's the last thing you baked?

I like blueberry muffins. I usually pick a carrot muffin. I baked a Bohemian Hoska (sweet bread) and took it to Arizona on June 15th.
5. What's the biggest way you've changed since you were a child? In what way are you still the same?
I was pretty shy as a child. I like talking to people now, especially when I'm out and about running errands. I am still pretty gullible.

Good morning Debbie! Yep, we had to get up to change the channel....LOL. We've seen a lot of changes in our short lives, haven't we? Have a great day!
I can beat your shag carpet, we had NOT TV... ha ha… dust and dirt is what I want to get rid of but can't, or wont... due to sheer laziness. I only use my phone for texting and emergency calls, so I would leave the message and maps
I missed the nostalgia gene, which is why there is nothing in my house that I can't get rid of.. the only thing I miss from my pass is being younger.
You have the best random thought today! How funny. I was a shy kid and wanted to not only be part of the background, but BE tha background!
Our kids discovered the fun of wool socks on carpet and the resulting shocks this winter in our new house. They thought it was wildly entertaining.
Hi Debby,
I miss raising my kids too.
Yes, I prefer to do those things on my computer at home also.
Using my Kindle seems cumbersome for those items.
I see we are both gullible.
My boys told me gullible is not in the dictionary, and I believed them. LOL
Have a great week :)

Kids today do not know how lucky they are and how easy they have things - amen!
If you downsize you will have to get rid of things.
I like blueberry muffins as well.
I was thinking of the three apps I would like - The Bible - My emails - and Facebook.
Love, sandie
I read somewhere when one is downsizing to take pictures of the things they got rid of. Having the pictures helped preserve the memories of the items as well as helped people deal with having to part with so much that they liked. As hard as it will be to downsize, you'll actually see the benefits of it once it is done and how freeing it is to have less to deal with. That bread you baked sure looked delicious!
betty
That's a great point about smartphone apps. Lots of good FB would do me, were I on the side of the road somewhere!
Your Hoska (bread) looks to pretty to eat!
That bread is beautiful! I've never heard of it before. Do you think it has to do with us getting older that we tend to think back on the way things were? We have so many memories to enjoy.
There are days, especially during the summer, when I miss my childrearing days. Everyone said that the season would pass by quickly. They weren't lying!!
LOL on your random thought. Probably the three apps I use the most on my phone are Facebook, messenger and camera
I think I am a bit like you: very shy growing up, but much more outspoken and outgoing now. Although still quite gullible!
We didn't have shag carpet. But I remember my grandparents having coconut matting on the floor in the kitchen: that hurt your feet I can tell you!!
And the TV went off the air at midnight. I am a bit nostalgic for our less connected days of old. The 24/7 ON ALL THE TIME is exhausting. Hope you have a great rest of the week!
I loved learning more about you today - oh days gone by - I too miss when the kids were little!
oh my those years of having to get up to turn it to the station you pleased as well as at times having a black and white t.v. were some rough years
Hello,
We are baking here in the northeast. I love your random thoughts. They always make me laugh out loud. Yes, kids don't know how easy they have it. They don'y know the anxiety of trying to choose which of three stations to watch. Be well! Be good to yourself! Enjoy your summer!
Thanks for your visit and your comment.
I'm with you on your #2! Life seems to be going by so quickly that I find it difficult to live in the moment, I"m always thinking back to what I miss about it.
That sweet bread looks delicious.
I had to laugh at the shag carpet comment. Didn’t we all have that?
I’m not too nostalgic about things. I do appreciate it when people have old things that mean something to them. I just struggle with organization if I don’t use it I want it gone.
Your randoms .. LOL .. I like blueberry muffins and carrot as well. I know I will miss raising my boys too. It is already setting in.
xx oo
Carla
I had to look at my phone to see which apps I use most frequently. I guess phone, text messages and camera.
